Guru Anirudha Das is now conducting Odissi classes at Natya Ballet Centre.
A distinguished disciple of Guru Durgacharan Ranbir, Anirudha Das is an accomplished exponent of Odissi with a deep-rooted command over the form. A recipient of the prestigious Guru Debaprasad Das Award (1993), he is also a Senior Scholarship holder, a Doordarshan graded artist, and has been empanelled by ICCR for international teaching assignments.
Having recently returned to India after a two-year ICCR assignment in Budapest, where he taught and promoted Odissi, he brings with him a rich global perspective along with traditional depth.

DRAUPADI : An Indomitable Spirit.
At the International Mahabharata Festival / Mahabharat Samagam at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal.
This landmark nine-day cultural festival was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, bringing together powerful interpretations of the Mahabharata from India and across the world.
Amid immersive dome theatre experiences, international performances, and epic narratives, Natya Ballet Centre presents Draupadi an Odissi and Mayurbhanj chhau dance drama that foregrounds the feminine voice of the Mahabharata: fearless, questioning, and timeless.
Draupadi brings the powerful feminine voice of the Mahabharata to the stage through Odissi and Mayurbhanj Chhau.

East Meets West, A movement Workshop
led by acclaimed choreographer & performer
Isha Sharvani and Australian choreographer Russell Thorpe.
During the workshop participants will be guided through Isha & Russell's movement language, a hybrid form of traditional Indian movement, Western contemporary dance technique and floorwork.
Starting with breath and body awareness we will access the body in a gentle way, moving through technical and improvisational exercises, culminating in creative tasks and phrase material.
This workshop series is open to all movement practitioners that have a desire to expand their movement vocabulary.
