1) The Union minister of heavy industries and public enterprises Prakash Javadekar inaugurated National Automotive Test Tracks (NATRAX) — the 11.3km-long High Speed Track (HST) in Madhya Pradesh's Indore.
➨ India is destined to become a hub of automobiles and manufacturing and spare parts.
➨NATRAX is developed in an area of 1,000 acres of land and is claimed to be a one-stop solution for all sorts of high-speed performance tests for widest categories of vehicles from two wheelers to heavy tractor-trailers.

2) India successfully carried out the test-firing of a new missile of the Agni series known as Agni-Prime off the coast of Odisha.

6) Superstar athlete Deepika Kumari completed a hat-trick of gold medals at the Archery World Cup Stage 3 in Paris after winning the women’s individual recurve event.
➠Deepika Kumari beat Elena Osipova of Russia 6-0 in the final to clinch her third gold medal at the tournament. Deepika has also won the top prize in the mixed team and women's individual recurve events.

7) Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced some fresh relief measures for the economy, the first such package after the second COVID-19 wave.
➨The government pegged the total financial implications of the package, which included the reiteration of some steps that were already announced such as the provision of food grains to the poor till November and higher fertiliser subsidies, at ₹6,28,993 crore.

8) Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Limited announced the commercial launch of 2-deoxy-D-glucose (2-DG), an anti-COVID-19 drug.

➨With the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) of each sachet fixed at Rs 990, the drug will be supplied to major governments as well as private hospitals across the country.

9) Veteran India goalkeeper PR Sreejesh and former women's team player Deepika were nominated by Hockey India for this year's prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award.
➨ Besides the duo, vice-captain of India's Tokyo Olympics-bound men's team Harmanpreet Singh and women's team members Vandana Katariya and Navjot Kaur were nominated for the Arjuna awards.
