Vision and Mission of Dronacharya Cricket Academy
10/05/2026
Dronacharya Cricket Academy was honoured to welcome Mr. Abe Noriaki, Minister for Political Affairs, Embassy of Japan in India, and Advisor to the Japan Cricket Association, during his visit to our academy at Arwachin Bharti Bhawan Senior Secondary School branch.
Mr. Anurup Sharma warmly welcomed the Minister with a bouquet of flowers on his arrival at the academy.
During the visit, the Minister made an insightful presentation on Japan’s growing foray into cricket, the existing cricketing infrastructure and facilities in Japan, and the various initiatives being undertaken by the Government of Japan to promote and develop the sport.
Mr. Abe interacted with our trainees and coaches and shared inspiring thoughts on discipline, dedication, education, and the growing sporting relationship between India and Japan. It was especially encouraging for our young cricketers to learn that Mr. Abe himself has played cricket up to the university level and continues to remain passionate about the game.
The trainees of DCA enthusiastically asked various questions regarding the current standard of cricket being played in Japan, along with the existing structure, infrastructure, and opportunities available for aspiring cricketers there. The interactive session proved to be highly informative and inspiring for everyone present.
Mr. Amandeep Singh, CEO of Dronacharya Cricket Academy, also made a presentation on the structure and functioning of the academy and highlighted the immense contribution and continuous support of Mr. Anurup Sharma, Chairman of Arwachin Bharti School. Under his leadership and vision, deserving children and talented young sportspersons belonging to the economically weaker sections of society are being provided free education and sports facilities, not only in cricket but across various sports disciplines.
Mr. Abe was also pleased to meet Mr. Gurcharan Singh, Director & Chief Coach of Dronacharya Cricket Academy and recipient of the prestigious Dronacharya Award and Padma Shri Award by the Government of India. In a heartwarming gesture reflecting Indian tradition and respect for elders and gurus, Mr. Abe sought his blessings by touching his feet.
Mr. Abe also tried his hand in the nets, where our coaches shared basic tips and techniques of modern cricket with him, making the interaction even more memorable and enjoyable for the trainees.
The visit reflected the power of sports in building friendships across nations and inspiring the next generation of sportspersons.
A graduate of the University of Tokyo, Duke University, and Tufts University, Mr. Abe is a distinguished diplomat with assignments in Washington, Beijing, and Paris. He has played an important role in shaping Indo-Pacific relations and contributing to multilateral forums such as the G7. Notably, he has also served as an interpreter for Japan’s Imperial Family and Prime Ministers during important international summits.
We sincerely thank Mr. Abe for spending valuable time with our students and motivating them with his presence, vision, and encouraging words.

Some stories don’t just inspire, they redefine what’s possible.
At just 12 years of age, two young girls have achieved something truly extraordinary. Leading Under-13 teams made up entirely of boys, they didn’t just take on the challenge… they rose above it.
In a tournament featuring eight competitive teams in the Junior Premier League, only two teams were led by girl captains and remarkably, both have powered their way into the finals.
Meet Nimisha Dixit and Tanushi Singhal, two fearless leaders who have guided their respective Under-13 boys’ teams to the biggest stage of the tournament.
Nimisha, a true wonder girl, has led from the front in every sense. With over 200 runs and 11 wickets, she has delivered match-winning performances consistently. Her talent has already earned her recognition on international TV channels, a glimpse of the star she is becoming.
Tanushi, with her disciplined medium-fast bowling, has made a strong impact, picking up 7 crucial wickets and standing tall as a dependable captain when it mattered the most.
This is not just about numbers. It’s about courage, belief, and breaking barriers at an age where most are still finding their path. To lead boys’ teams, earn their respect, and take them to the finals speaks volumes about their character and skill.
At Dronacharya Cricket Academy, we take immense pride in nurturing such talent, with a strong focus on promoting girls in cricket. With the continued encouragement and support from BCCI and DDCA, women’s cricket in India is rising with real momentum.
If this is what 12 looks like… the future of Indian cricket is not just bright, it’s unstoppable.

Small Boy, Big Fire – Atharv’s Story
Every child who walks into our academy carries a story, but some leave a lasting imprint on the heart. Atharv’s journey is one of those rare and special ones.
In July 2025, a parent brought a small, lean, and skinny boy to our academy for admission. We explained that we do not enroll children below six years of age. When we asked Atharv his age, the little boy confidently lied of his age and said, “Six!” His father stood beside him, simply smiling, perhaps understanding both the innocence of his child and the strength of his desire to play.
But what truly mattered was not his age. It was what I saw in him. There was innocence, energy, and a genuine love for the game that cannot be taught. It was raw and natural. Something told me this child deserved a chance, and we decided to take him on roll.
A little later, my wife, who looks after administration, learned more about the family and that Atharv’s father is a small-time salesman, she made a quiet but powerful decision. She waived off the entire admission fee and went a step further by gifting him a complete cricket kit bag. It was not charity; it was belief in a young dream.
It has now been eight months since his admission, and his energy and passion have not run down even a bit. He plays with children older than him, in the 7 to 8 years age group, and continues to outperform them with remarkable confidence and skill.
We never predict the future of any young player, but we feel a deep sense of responsibility towards this God-gifted child. we sincerely wish and promise to give him special attention and support, and to help him in every possible way as he continues his journey.
Today, Atharv is not just a trainee. He is the darling of our academy, loved by coaches and fellow players alike. His journey reminds us that when passion meets compassion, something truly beautiful is created.

At Dronacharya Cricket Academy, we believe true development goes far beyond skills on the field.
This weekend, we had the privilege of hosting two highly insightful workshops focusing on the often overlooked yet critical pillars of performance, Sports Psychology and Health & Nutrition.
The Sports Psychology Workshop was led by Dr. Swaroop Savanur, founder of MyMentalCoach and one of India’s most respected mental conditioning experts. With years of experience working with IPL teams, BCCI setups, state teams, and leading corporates, Dr. Swaroop shared practical insights on:
• Supporting children through wins and losses
• Handling match-day pressure
• Building confidence and intrinsic motivation
• Understanding what not to say during tough phases
His session gave parents a clear perspective on how their role directly impacts a young athlete’s mindset and performance.
The Health & Nutrition Workshop was conducted by Dr. Kashika Bhatia, a highly accomplished clinical and sports nutritionist with over 8 years of experience. She emphasized the fundamentals that often make the biggest difference:
• The role of proper nutrition in performance
• Importance of hydration
• Sleep and recovery as performance enhancers
What made the sessions truly valuable was the active participation from parents and players, with thoughtful questions around improving performance in high-pressure match situations.
At Dronacharya Cricket Academy, we are committed to providing our trainees and parents with exposure to these crucial aspects of the game, areas that are often accessible only at the elite level of Indian cricket.
Because building a cricketer is not just about technique… it’s about mindset, discipline, and the right lifestyle.
