छोटे से गाँव से दिल्ली क्रिकेट तक — प्रणीत तिवारी की कहानी मेहनत, संघर्ष और विश्वास की कहानी है। 🏏❤️

सुल्तानपुर के एक छोटे से गाँव से दिल्ली आए प्रणीत ने करीब 5 साल पहले द्रोणाचार्य क्रिकेट अकैडमी में कदम रखा। कोच सचिन सर के मार्गदर्शन में लगातार मेहनत की और दो बार DDCA लीग के बेस्ट बॉलर बने।

पहले अंडर-19 ट्रायल में चयन नहीं हुआ, लेकिन प्रणीत ने हार नहीं मानी। अगले साल वापसी की और दिल्ली U-19 टीम में जगह बनाई।

मुश्किल समय में द्रोणाचार्य पुरस्कार विजेता श्री गुरचरण सिंह जी ने उसके लिए खड़े होकर उसका साथ दिया। DDCA में अधिकारियों और अध्यक्ष श्री रोहन जेटली के सहयोग से प्रणीत को अपना अवसर मिला।

और उसने उस अवसर को यादगार बना दिया।

2025–26 में सिर्फ 5 U-19 मैचों में 23 विकेट। 🔥

फिर आया DPL Season 3। शुरुआत में मौके का इंतजार करना पड़ा। सचिन सर की एक बात हमेशा साथ रही—

“जिस दिन तुम्हें मौका मिलेगा, तुम कर दिखाओगे… क्योंकि तुम कर सकते हो।”

मौका मिला… और प्रणीत ने साबित कर दिया।

यह कहानी सिर्फ विकेटों की नहीं, बल्कि उस विश्वास की है जो एक खिलाड़ी को हार मानने से रोकता है।

Rain. Tea. Samosas. Ideas.

Sometimes, the best coaching sessions happen without a single ball being bowled.

Just as our practice session began, the heavens opened. Within minutes, the ground had turned into a swimming pool. There was no possibility of training. Even the covered spaces were unusable.

As the coaches prepared to leave, I requested everyone to stay back for tea and samosas. What followed was completely unplanned but turned out to be one of our most meaningful sessions.

We sat together and asked ourselves a simple question:

"When young cricketers come to the academy despite the rain, how do we ensure they still go back having learnt something valuable?"

The discussion was incredible. Every coach contributed. Every voice mattered. Practical, implementable ideas kept flowing on how to engage children during the monsoon through indoor learning, cricket conversations, tactical sessions, mental skills, values, and activities that go far beyond batting and bowling.

As my ailing father, Padma Shri & Dronacharya Awardee Shri Gurcharan Singh, quietly listened to the conversation, I reminded the coaches what made him a legendary coach. His greatness was never confined to the cricket field. He built relationships that lasted a lifetime, teaching discipline, hard work, character, humility, and the importance of education alongside cricket.

The biggest reward came later.

On our drive home, my father proudly looked at me and said it was a great and constructive and the way coaches had participated.

That single compliment meant more to me than I can express.

A rain washed away our practice session, but it gave us something far more valuable: a shared vision of becoming better coaches for our children.

Sometimes, the weather stops cricket. It should never stop learning.

From Dreams to Destiny | The Journey of Coach Tara Bisht

Every cricketer starts with a dream. For Tara Bisht, that dream began in the hills of Uttarakhand.

It wasn't an easy road. There were early mornings, long hours of practice, injuries, disappointments and moments when giving up would have been the easier choice. But Tara kept going, believing that if she stayed committed, the results would come.

Her hard work eventually earned her a place in Uttarakhand's Women's Under 23 and Senior Women's teams, where she represented her state across multiple BCCI domestic seasons. Even today, she continues to compete at the highest level, representing Uttarakhand in the 2025 to 2026 Senior Women's season.

Behind her journey was a family that believed in her from the very beginning.

Her parents and elder sister encouraged her to follow her passion for cricket, but they also made sure she never overlooked her education. They wanted her to have the confidence that comes from being prepared for every stage of life.

Tara embraced both with equal commitment. While pursuing her cricket career, she completed her Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.), proving that with discipline and determination, it's possible to chase your dreams without compromising your future.

Today, her role has changed, but her purpose hasn't.

As a coach at Dronacharya Cricket Academy, she finds joy in watching young players grow. Whether it's helping a child learn a new skill, supporting someone through a difficult phase, or seeing a player believe in themselves for the first time, these moments mean as much to her as any match she has played.

She sees a little of herself in every child who walks onto the ground with a bat, a ball and a dream.

She knows that every successful player needs someone who believes in them before anyone else does. That is the kind of coach she works hard to be every day.

At Dronacharya Cricket Academy, we are proud to have coaches like Tara Bisht. She doesn't just teach cricket. She helps young players build confidence, develop character and discover what they are capable of achieving.

Because in the end, the greatest legacy of a coach isn't measured by trophies
