PHYSICAL FITNESS SESSION UNDER THE WATCHFUL EYES OF OUR HEAD COACH BANTU SINGH AND ARUN HAMROL AT TALKATORA CRICKET GROUND.
On his 6th death anniversary, we remember Late Sh Dilbagh Singh, a popular name in Delhi cricket and the founder of our club.
His exploits on the cricket field were as legendary as tales about his commitment to Delhi cricket. Those days when there was no money in cricket, he used to host cricketers in his home and used to encourage and support young cricketers of his club, Delhi Gymkhana.
He was routinely seen carrying cricket gear and ice to provide cold water for players practicing at Talkotra cricket ground. Cricket enthusiasts remember his contribution to Delhi cricket and his strong, unwavering voice to set things right in DDCA.
On this day, we all remember him fondly for his immense love for cricket which he nurtured till the last day of his life. May all of us be imbued by the same spirit and passion that Sh Dilbagh Singh exuded all his life. May his ideals and passion be followed by future generations of Delhi cricketers and administrators.

Alvin Kallicharan's incredible assault on Dennis Lillee in one of the run off matches during the 1975 World Cup.
Lillee ended this over with 4-4-4-4-4-6.
This is top class Cricket played by real men! Not by little boys wearing all sorts of shields and helmet.
No restrictions in bouncers, no helmet, no chest pad, no elbow guard, no thigh pads, halfway unbuttoned shirt....facing a fast and furious pace bowler of the calibre of Dennis Lillee in his prime and hooking the rising ball for a six. Just look at this diminutive expert's awesome footwork, a true master at work! Hooking a ball like that without a helmet....that is absolute daredevilry. Super Hitting.
That was the era of West Indian legends. We used to regularly listen to BBC Commentary those days. Who can forget Henry Blofield, Tony Cozier and the great team of commentators.
