Devdutt, Coach of the Mixed Disability Cricket Team, Honoured by Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta

New Delhi: Devdutt, the coach of the Indian mixed disability cricket team, was invited to the Delhi Assembly complex and honoured by Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta following the team’s return from its England tour. Praising the team’s performance and the players’ spirit, Gupta extended his best wishes to Devdutt.

Although the Indian team narrowly missed winning the series against England—finishing with a 4-3 result—the players won everyone’s hearts with their magnificent performance. Displaying a powerful game at the historic Lord’s ground, the Indian players proudly hoisted the Tricolour. In one match, India set a target of 200 runs for England and secured a spectacular victory by bowling out the host team for under 100 runs.

The team’s performance under Coach Devdutt’s guidance also garnered immense support from cricket enthusiasts. Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta remarked that while the series result may have favoured England, the spirit and performance of the Indian players are a source of pride for the nation. He added that these differently-abled cricketers have inspired a renewed passion for the sport through their talent and hard work🙏🏻🙏🏻
