M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story is a 2016 Indian biographical sports drama based on the life of former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the film stars the late Sushant Singh Rajput as Dhoni, charting his remarkable real-life journey from a railway ticket collector to a celebrated international cricketing icon

The film begins with Dhoni's childhood in Ranchi, where he is spotted by a coach and encouraged to become a cricketer. Despite his natural talent, he struggles to break into the national team and takes a stable job as a Ticket Examiner (TTE) for Indian Railways. Eventually, he gets his chance, makes his debut, and overcomes personal tragedy to lead India to a historic victory in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
