Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing that Yoga needs a certain outfit, a certain look, and a certain aesthetic.
But Yoga was never about the clothes.
It was about awareness.
Awareness of what we consume.
Awareness of what we wear.
Awareness of our impact on the Earth.
This World Environment Day, I’m simply inviting you to become a little more conscious.
🌱 Try choosing more:
• Cotton
• Linen
• H**p
• Khadi
• Natural fibre blends
⚠️ Try avoiding or reducing:
• Polyester
• Nylon
• Acrylic
• Fast-fashion activewear made mostly from synthetic fibres
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is awareness.
Read the labels.
Ask questions.
Make informed choices.
Because if we truly love the Earth, our choices should reflect that love too. 🌍💚
Small conscious choices.
Big collective impact. 🌱
Have you ever checked the fabric label of your yoga clothes? 👇

What is one thing that instantly makes you feel connected to nature?
For me, it’s _______
Tell me in the comments!!
Happy World Environment Day to all of us🌍❤️
Somewhere along the way, many of us became disconnected from nature.
We spend hours indoors.
We watch sunsets on screens.
We consume nature as content.
Yet our nervous system still longs for sunlight, fresh air, trees, soil and open skies.
In Yoga, we talk about Prithvi Tattva — the Earth Element.
The element of grounding, stability and nourishment.
And maybe that’s why so many of us feel restless today.
Because we’re trying to heal ourselves while staying disconnected from the very thing that heals us.
“Yatha Pinde Tatha Brahmande”
✨ As within, so without.
The same Earth that exists in mountains, rivers and forests exists within us too.
So perhaps the first step isn’t saving the Earth.
Perhaps it’s remembering that we belong to it.
And when connection returns, protection follows naturally. 💚🌱
🌍 💚
One of my favourite concepts from the yogic tradition is Shruti - “that which was heard.” ✨
The Rishis were not trying to become smarter. They were trying to become quieter.
Today we are constantly searching for more information, more answers, more content, more noise.
But yoga reminds us that wisdom is not always found by adding more. Sometimes it is revealed when we remove what is unnecessary.
Patanjali says:
“Yogaś citta-vṛtti-nirodhaḥ”
Yoga is the calming of the fluctuations of the mind.
A disturbed lake cannot reflect the moon clearly. Only when the water becomes still does the reflection appear.
Maybe the mind is the same.
Maybe intuition, creativity, clarity, and wisdom are not things we have to chase.
Maybe they are already present.
The question is not whether life is speaking.
The question is whether we have become quiet enough to listen.

Episode 8 of summer wellness series🌿
Curd vs Buttermilk 🥛
This episode is not about saying that curd is bad or that everyone should stop eating it.
Food traditions matter. Many people have been eating certain foods since childhood and their bodies have adapted beautifully to them.
But Ayurveda also reminds us that every body is different.
Personally, when I was dealing with more acidity, heat, and digestive discomfort, I was advised to shift more towards buttermilk (chaas) rather than having curd regularly.
According to Ayurveda, curd is considered guru (heavier), while buttermilk is often considered lighter and easier to digest for many people.
So if you’re someone who experiences:
🔥 acidity
🔥 excess body heat
🔥 heaviness after meals
🔥 sluggish digestion
it may be worth observing how your body responds to curd and whether buttermilk feels better for you.
This isn’t about restriction.
It’s about understanding your body and making seasonal adjustments 🌿
✨ Also, if you’d like a simple Dosha Quiz to understand your Ayurvedic body type better, comment “DOSHA” below and I’ll send it to you.
your spine affects more than you think 😭🤍
the way you sit…
the way you breathe…
the way you carry yourself…
even the way your energy feels.
nowadays we are constantly bent forward —
phones, laptops, stress, overthinking…
and slowly the body starts collapsing inward too 🌿
when i went deeper into yoga studies, i realised spine awareness is given so much importance.
because posture is not only about “looking straight.”
when the spine is more aligned:
✨ breathing improves
✨ chest opens better
✨ body feels lighter
✨ you naturally look more confident
✨ sitting for meditation becomes easier
and according to yogic philosophy,
the 7 chakras are also said to lie along the spine 🌿
so when we keep collapsing the posture again and again,
the body starts feeling heavy, dull and closed inward.
that is why in yoga we bring awareness to lifting the spine gently —
not with stiffness…
but with awareness 🤍
because meditative postures were created so the body can sit steady, breathe better and allow energy to flow more freely.
“स्थिरसुखमासनम्”
(Sthira Sukham Asanam) — Yoga Sutra 2.46
meaning:
an asana should feel steady and comfortable 🌿
the purpose was never only flexibility.
it was preparing the body to sit with awareness, breath and stillness.
sometimes the way you hold your spine also changes the way you hold your mind 😭✨

🌿 Episode 7 – Summer Wellness Series ☀️
Summer doesn’t mean skipping your practice…
it means making a few mindful changes.
Lately even in my morning classes, we’ve been feeling more heat during practice and instead of stopping, we adapted 🌿
Here are a few things that can help:
☀️ Practice early morning
🌬️ Choose a ventilated room instead of practising in direct cold AC
🚿 Take a shower before practice
🌹 Keep a face mist with you (rose water or vetiver water works beautifully) I am using (non sponsored)
And one important point 💧
Usually, we do not recommend drinking water repeatedly during meditation, pranayama, or even regular asana practice.
But if you’re doing a more intense practice in summer and sweating more than usual, then small sips in between can help not gulping.
You can also make your water more refreshing with mint or simple infused water 🌿
And honestly, this season lets focus more on:
🧘 meditation
🌬️ pranayama
❄️ cooling breath practices
You can even try a few rounds of Sheetali pranayama in between practice rounds you don’t always have to sit down in meditation posture for it.
I’ve also uploaded a YouTube video on Sheetali pranayama if you want to practice along ✨
Don’t stop the practice.
Change the approach ☀️
