Veteran cricketer and coach Abdur Robb popularly known as Babun da has been missing since this evening from his residence at Dr.B.Borooah Road, Guwahati. He suffers from dementia and probably has lost his way. We are looking for him, meanwhile, I request you if you come across any leads please message or comment or inform any of his family members known to you.
He was wearing a grey floral shirt and a black trousers and a pair of slippers. He doesn't have a phone. Also, he was carrying no cash. He was last seen at his residence around 4.30 pm. He is above 70.

Former international footballer Abdul Latif, was the former coach of Assam School Football Team and Assam State Police Football Team. He played for India in the 70s and won the bronze medal in 1970 Bangkok Asian Games where he played as Centre Half. This was the last medal won in Football at Asian Games by India. He started his career in Hyderabad and later played for Mohammedan Sporting Club in West Bengal. He was also the coach for Assam Sub Junior Team and Santosh Trophy.
He is laid to rest with state honour by Government of Assam. Shri Biswajit Pegu, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metropolitan and Lakshya Konwar, General Secretary, Assam Olympic Association paid homage at his residence.

Former international footballer Abdul Latif was laid to rest with state honours in the presence of Shri Biswajit Pegu, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup Metropolitian, Assam, Lakhya Konwar, General Secretary, Assam Olympic Association, other dignitaries, family and well-wishers. His last rites will be performed in Sarania Kabarstan, Guwahati.

Former State cricketer and Star Sporting Club's General Secretary Asif Latif passed away on 19 February, 2020.
His sudden demise is a great loss for the sports fraternity in Guwahati and across Assam. His last rites will be performed at 2 PM in Ulubari/Islampur Kabarstan on 20 February. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
