The word Bandha means " lock" and "binding".
Anatomically it means co-activation of muscles. When both the opposite muscl get activated at the same time that is called Bandha.
The energy or we can say shakti always move from low to high to awake our spiritualism. It is a technique through which the opposite energy or shakti are bound together.
What interests and excites me is the positive effect activating bandhas has on our joints – especially in postures that require a lot of weight bearing – like arm balances.
