Your dedication, support, and nostalgia-infused efforts made this event a resounding success. Special gratitude to our former football captain SWAPNIL ROY, current athletic captain ANIRBAN MAZUMDER, and football captain INDRAVO GHOSH for their contributions. A round of applause to the chief guest, GAUTAM SARKAR and RAHIM NABI, former Indian national team players, for gracing the occasion and inspiring our players.

We also enjoyed thrilling exhibition matches between the alumni of 1989 and current college professors, showcasing the timeless love for the game. Additionally, the women's match between Pandya Hall & Sister Nivedita vs Lt. Williams added another layer of excitement and inclusivity to the event. Congratulations to Richardson Hall for clinching the championship and Hostel 14 for being the worthy runners-up.

During the prestigious Parakram'24 sports fest organized by IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, IIEST showcased impressive performance. Our football team demonstrated strong teamwork and strategy, securing a 3rd place finish. Additionally, our powerlifting boys displayed remarkable strength and determination, clinching the 2nd and 3rd positions in different categories of the competition. Congratulations to our talented athletes for their outstanding representation of IIEST at Parakram'24.

The 10th annual Athletics meet 2024 of IIEST, Shibpur was a resounding success, thanks to the passion, talent, and sportsmanship of all participants. The event was organised on 7th and 8th February 2024 for all the students of the institute which includes numerous events like 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m runs and for field event there was javelin throw, discus throw, shotput, long jump, high jump, cricket ball throw and tug of war. As we look back on this memorable event, let's remember the lessons learned, friendships forged, and the joy of competition that unites us all. Until next year, let's continue to strive forward and unleash our athletic excellence in all aspects of life.

We're thrilled to announce the achievements of our sports teams in the Shaurya 2023 event hosted by IIT Kharagpur!

Our football team gave their all and clinched 2nd runner-up. Not to be outdone, our powerlifting team showed their strength with three bronze and one silver medal.

The Sports Board of IIEST, Shibpur is very proud to announce that our college football team has emerged as the Champions in the football tournament, organised by IIT(ISM) Dhanbad, as a part of the PARAKRAM'23 event, which is one of the largest sports fest of India.

The IIEST football team displayed great teamwork, skill, and determination throughout the tournament, and their efforts paid off in the final game. The match was a close one, but the IIEST team held their nerves and showed great character and they defeated the host team of IIT(ISM), Dhanbad to clinch the win in the tiebreaker by a scoreline of 4-1.

The joint top scorers of the tournament, Swapnil Roy and Pritam Mandal, were instrumental in the team's success. Their impressive performances not only helped the team win crucial matches but also boosted the morale of the entire team.

Congratulations to the Captain SWAPNIL ROY (4th Year, Aerospace Engineering) and the entire IIEST Football Team for their outstanding performance in the PARAKRAM'23 tournament, organised by IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.
