Vasavi Federation Cup (VFC) is now bigger and better with the tournament extending over two days.

VFC Winter Cup is commencing tomorrow at 9.00 a.m. at Turfside, Road No. 10, Jubilee Hills.

Kicking off the electrifying matches will be CSE-B, IT, EEE, ECE, CSE-A, MECH and CIVIL.

Everyone's invited to come to the tournament and cheer on their teams.

VFC – Vasavi Federation Cup

VFC is a 7-A side football tournament conducted for the first time in the history of Vasavi. It is a 4 Team double elimination tournament being conducted at Astro Park (also known as Apollo Grounds ) a complete turf court located in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad on January 26, 2016.


Non players can visit to watch the game.

Rules and Guidelines for teams:


Players are advised to report at ground by 8:30 AM sharp.
The team must be ready at their ground at the specified time and no delays shall be entertained.
The game shall follow standard football rules.
Beginning of a half and a goal conceded shall be started by a kick off.
A coin will be tossed and the team that wins the toss decides which goal it will attack in the first half of the match.
All the standard free kick rules apply.
Outsides should be taken by thrown in’s.
Any foul play shall be penalized and can even lead to expelling the player from the court ( In case of consequent fouls shall be red carded) by external ref’s.
Players are provided with Bibs, water and an Energy Drink (Extra can be bought) and are prohibited from bringing foreign food articles as it is against the guidelines of the ground renting agreement.
Players are requested wear shoes (preferably studs ) and socks as a necessary precautionary measure.
Goal Keepers can get gloves if needed and shall not be provided by the organizing committee.
If any substitutes are available substitutions are allowed but should be done without any wastage of time.
Players shouldn’t indulge in wasting any of the match time by any means.
Players are advised to get anything necessary for the game.

Match details:


Each match is 40 min long with a 20 min half time, followed by a 10 min break leading to the second half.
In case of Draw, the game leads to a golden Goal further to penalties if such a situations arises.
Corners are valid whereas off-sides are not considered.
In case of equal win rates Goal differences shall be assessed.
After every match there is a 1 hour break, in which players can refresh themselves.
