আসন্ন ২৪শে জুন গঙ্গা পূজা উপলক্ষে বহু পুণ্যার্থী, ভক্ত ও দর্শনার্থীর সমাগম ঘটবে রাধাকৃষ্ণ ঘাটে। তাঁদের নিরাপত্তা ও সুবিধার কথা মাথায় রেখে আজ এক বিশেষ সেবামূলক কর্মসূচিতে অংশগ্রহণ করল নবাবগঞ্জ সুরেন্দ্রনাথ ব্যানার্জি স্কাউট ও গাইড গ্রুপের স্কাউট, গাইড ও রোভার সদস্যরা।

ঘাটের সিঁড়িতে জমে থাকা শ্যাওলা ও পিচ্ছিল আবরণ পরিষ্কার করার জন্য সদস্যরা স্বতঃস্ফূর্তভাবে হাতে তুলে নেয় ঝাঁটা, ব্রাশ ও ব্লিচিং পাউডার। দীর্ঘ সময়ের পরিশ্রমে ঘাটের সিঁড়িগুলি পরিষ্কার করা হয়, যাতে গঙ্গা পূজার দিন আগত কোনো ভক্ত বা দর্শনার্থী দুর্ঘটনার সম্মুখীন না হন।

রাধাকৃষ্ণ ঘাট কর্তৃপক্ষের আহ্বানে গঙ্গা পূজার দিন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষা ও জনসেবার দায়িত্বও পালন করবে আমাদের সদস্যরা।

সমাজের কল্যাণে, মানুষের পাশে— স্কাউটিংয়ের এই চিরন্তন আদর্শকে বুকে ধারণ করেই আমাদের পথচলা।
