On the eve of 60th Shardotsava organised by the esteemed Maharashtra Sahitya Sabha, Indore, our Guru Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar ji was felicitated for her contribution to the field of Kathak. Such honours inspire the younger generation to do more and work harder.
The program was also a huge success with a mesmerising performance by Dr. Tina Deole Tambe who we proudly announce as an alumni of Kartik Kala Academy.
We would like to thank the Shardotsava President Archana Chitale ji, Vice President Maharashtra Sahitya Sabha Mrs. Ranjana Thakur ji, President Maharashtra Sahitya Sabha Khare ji and the entire committee for organising such a beautiful event.
Last but not the least special thanks to Shankar Lalwani ji for gracing the occasion and always encouraging the artists of Madhya Pradesh.

We are very ecstatic to announce that our Guru - the renowned exponent of Raigarh Gharana of Kathak Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar has been nominated by the ministry of Culture, Government of India as the Honourable Member of Board of Governors of South Central Zone Cultural Center (SCZCC), Nagpur. The center is constituted of six states namely Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. Chaired by the Hon’ble Governor of Maharashtra, the body is one of the seven zonal cultural centers of India.
This is a new and very important feather in her cap and we cannot be more proud, thrilled and gratified about this. May you keep moving forward ma’am and adding more and more of such jewels to your crown. Congratulations to all beautiful members of Kartik Kala Academy.

Learning should be an all rounded process. For a dancer to become a performer, it is important for him or her to face an audience.
Keeping this in mind, guru came up with a brilliant idea to instil confidence in her students and shape them into acclaimed performers.
One student is asked to perform in front of an audience and one is asked to research and speak about a topic amongst the same audience.

Hope you are doing well. We know that distance makes the heart grow fonder but it has been a long that we have seen each other. Thus your academy - Kartik Kala Academy is organizing a meet and greet for all its students on this Saturday (24/07/2021) and what better day than Guru Purnima. This way we all will be in one room (however virtual) with our guru Dr. Suchitra Harmalkar. We hope that you will be able to make a little time to relive the classroom days.
