Mobilizing/ utilizing national expertise on local arena
Activities of the association:
Conducting monthly seminars at district and block levels to keep farmers in touch with new technologies
Subject matter specialists will be invited to disseminate scientific knowledge on various aspects of livestock production and management practices
Association will publish quarterly magazine “Dairy Sandesh” and a newsletter “PDFA Patrika” and send it to the farmers free of cost to provide technical information at their doorstep. Regulation of price of various dairy products will be re- evaluated at definite interval of time on the basis of production cost
Efforts will be made to ensure procurement, transportation and marketing of milk from every part of M.P. Financial support will be provided to budding entrepreneurs on low interest rate by tie up with financial institutions. Efforts will be made to get subsidy from central and state government sponsored schemes
To provide better milk procurement price to the farmers association will tie up with private milk collection firm and transparency will be brought about in the co-operative collection system
To provide better veterinary aid and artificial insemination facilities at the doorsteps
To organize dairy show annually at district and state level to motivate the farmers to raise good breed of animals and to bring the scientists, companies and farmers at a single platform. In this show different breed competitions, milking competitions, exhibition and seminars will be organized. To make available superior quality germplasm to produce high quality cross bred animals
Improve the interaction between veterinarians and progressive dairy farmers to resolve the root level problems by empowering farmers through direct access to information and knowledge
Provide training to farmers on disaster management
Provide education to the farmers on clean and hygienic milk production and zoonotic diseases
Approach the government for provision of 50% subsidy on dairy shed construction and dairy equipments and lower the interest rates of the ongoing govt schemes. Efforts will be made to provide insurance cover for milch animals
Convince the state and central government to discuss import and export policies of dairy produce with PDFA
Establish farmers welfare cell

The ultimate goal of the association is to create employment opportunities for youth, increase productivity, better pricing systems for dairy produce ultimately improving socio- economic status of the farmer.
