What’s up Insta-Fam, posting after a break. This one is going to resonate with the Moms!

We all want our family to be happy, right? But have we ever thought that their happiness is a byproduct of our happiness?

Remember the flight attendant who instructs you before take off- Put your Oxygen mask on FIRST, and only then help the neighbour.

You can’t help your near and dear ones WITHOUT HELPING YOURSELF, FIRST. There’s nothing wrong about it.

You can’t have a Happy Family without caring about your own happiness first.

So, my friends, it’s important to ensure your happiness as a Mom. Take it up on priority. Push it up your to do list!😊

Think about what makes you happy, and make sure that you do at least some of that daily. It could be an activity, a person, or an environment.. find that out.

Once you’re happy, you’re in a position to make your kids happy, and the family happy. It’s a Ripple effect. It’s effortless. It’s magical!

The only thing that’s 100% in our control is ourselves. The only thing that we can take responsibility of is ourselves.

If we change nothing about us, nothing changes. For things to change, we need to start changing. For things to get better, we need to get better.

If we change, everything around us will change.

If you’re someone who’s looking for a change in any area of your life, don’t wait for the external factors to change. Start making small but meaningful changes to yourself and slowly you’ll see your reality changing! 🥂

Before planning our second pregnancy I was a bit apprehensive that my career would come to a standstill for few months, especially because of the endless breastfeeding sessions which happen in the beginning.

I feel so grateful that I was blessed with this work from home opportunity 6 years back.

With the power of technology, I turn off my video in the middle of a training session/client follow up call, latch, and get back to business.

If God gives you kids, he gives you all the strength/ideas as well.

He gives you reasons to keep progressing in life 🙂

👁 The Science behind Why humans talk/dream/plan more and do less? 👁

We all are guilty of over-dreaming, over-planning, over-thinking and taking too little action.
We all tend to ponder more and move less. Ever wondered why?
Let me share you why this happens.. You're not guilty! It's the DOPAMINE!

I got this answer while listening to an audiobook by James Clear recently (Atomic Habits).

According to research, "Success" is addictive (as much as sugar/tobacco) because it causes a dopamine high. Small or big, the completion of a task gives us satisfaction because of the dopamine release. Now this wasn't new for me but what came next blew my mind.

The author said that "dreaming/planning/visualising" about success has the potential to cause almost the same dopamine high as actually achieving it. Wow! I instantly realised why planning is so addictive.. because it gives us a false impression of "doing the work", while in reality it isn't even moving us.

Now that you know the science behind it, stop doing it. Stop "being in motion" and start taking action.

The Power of Affirmations

You migh have heard about Affirmations, or Declarations (many self help experts talk about their importance).

In the simplest of words, affirmations are positive statements that you repeat to yourself daily. They are made in the present tense, and signify that your dream "has already been achieved today". For eg: "I am happy today that I have achieved my dream of losing 10 Kgs body weight" is an affirmation that can be repeated daily in the morning.

This workd for most people but for the rest, affirmations don't seem to work. They start thinking logically, that it is future (and not the present). They aren't able to arouse themselves for those affirmations. For such people, there's a concept called Declarations (a concept by T Harv Eker).

Declarations are more practical because they are statements made in the present tense and tell your mind that "I am going to achieve this". This is another way of putting up the same thing. For eg. "I have decided to lose 10 Kgs weight in the next 5 months, and I am going to do it, come what may!" is a declaration.

Whichever group you belong to, affirmations or declarations.. these statements work really well. They train your mind to behave differently than what it would, normally.

They program your mind to work "in a certain way" and that's why you will see a lot of successful men and women talk about them. Try them out and see what fits you more. Then do them daily. Big idea!
