Day 1 of celebrating National Sports Day.
As part of the 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙬𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝘿𝙖𝙮 2026, our NTHA members who work tirelessly behind the scenes stepped out from their usual roles and screens to experience the joy of sport firsthand.

Our masseurs, sports scientists, psychologists and support staff, administrative staff and many from non-hockey backgrounds came together, got active, and enjoyed the penalty stroke challenge.

Remembering the visionary who dreamed big and built even bigger. On the 167th birth anniversary of Sir Dorabji Tata, Naval Tata Hockey Academy pays rich tribute to the pioneer who laid the foundation of Indian sports and nation-building.

Long before medals and grand podiums, there was a leader who believed in the power of Indian Sportsmen. From personally funding India’s first Olympic contingent to Antwerp in 1920 to founding the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) in 1927, his vision laid the foundation for the historic 1928 Olympic Gold in hockey and beyond.

Today on the167th Birth Anniversary of Sir Dorabji Jamsetji Tata, we honour the visionary leader who put India on the global sporting map. 🇮🇳✨
