Jamshedpur Branch of CIRC of ICAI is going to host the T-20 tournament this year in the month of November. as happened in last three year Jamshedpur Branch will also be participating as one of the team in this tournament as have done in last three years.

We hereby request the interested members who want to participation for this tournament to the branch. The Team will be duly selected by branch selection committee based on the players past and practice performance. The intent of participation should reach us at the earliest. It is to be noted that the branch team for the tournament will comprise of 15 players only.

The tournament will be played in T-20 format in true spirits of the game in a friendly environment with full cricket gear, leather SG Club ball and on turf. The team of last year will start training from tomorrow at Co-operative College ground in morning at 6AM. Those interested are requested to take part in the practice session so as to enable the branch committee to select the team.

Seasons greeting from Lucknow Branch

Cricket in India, it is said, is more of madness than a sport. No one can remain aloof from the passion of Cricket.

In continuation with the tradition of ICAI Cricket, this year Lucknow Branch of CIRC of ICAI takes this privileged opportunity to host the ICAI CRICKET TOURNAMENT, 2012 to be held at LUCKNOW from 18th November 2012 to 21st November 2012. When, we have met all the major professional deadlines, it will be the time to get up from our desks and join hands for fun & play. As the saying goes, “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy”, we too should get involved in sports to break away from monotonous routine and to keep ourselves fit.

We hereby request you to kindly send intent of participation of your branch team in the tournament to [email protected] . Please note that the intent of participation along with participation contribution (Rs.50,000/-) should reach us before 31st August, 2012. We will not be able to accommodate more than 8 teams who would be selected on First Come First Serve basis of contribution received.

The tournament will be played in T-20 format in true spirits of the game in a friendly environment with full cricket gear. The schedule of the tournament is kept in such a manner that each team shall play minimum of three matches on round robin basis divided in two groups on three successive days followed by a championship match between top team placed in each group. Further the second placed team in either group will play for 3rd and 4th Position.

The contribution from each team (comprising of not more than 14 qualified members of ICAI) shall be Rs 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only). Payments will have to be made in favour of Lucknow Branch of CIRC of ICAI.

Contribution shall be for lodging, boarding, and requisite transportation facilities at Lucknow for the participating teams during the period of the tournament.



All the members who participated in the tournaments carry a memorable experience and an excellent bo***ge between members from various regions. Indeed the tournaments provided a great platform for a very healthy and emotional fellowship.

The gracious presence and participation of Members is requested to make this sport fest a roaring success. We at Lucknow Branch look forward for your participation in the tournament and an opportunity to be your host.
