Does a Kathak class always look serious?
Not at Anhad. 🤍

Sometimes we learn through taal and tatkaar.
Sometimes through games.
Sometimes through storytelling.
And sometimes… we put on a Bollywood song and just dance. 😄

At Anhad, I want them to become comfortable with movement, explore different ways of expressing themselves, respond quickly, think creatively, perform without hesitation—and most importantly, enjoy being in their own bodies.

Somewhere between the games, the laughter, the running around and the dancing, learning is happening too.

Because learning doesn't always have to look like learning. ✨

This Independence Day, we remember "Rani Lakshmibai". Her story reminds us that courage has many forms—and that the freedom we inherit today was once a dream someone had the courage to fight for.

Classroom Series | Ep. 5 | Understanding Layakari 💃

Kathak is not just about dancing the bols.
It is about understanding the rhythm behind them.

Layakari teaches a dancer to listen, count, feel and work with the taal at different rhythmic speeds.

From Ekgun to Dugun, Tigun and Chaugun—each layer develops great awareness, timing, coordination and control.

What may look like simple padhant from the outside is actually building one of the most important foundations of a Kathak dancer.

This is a part of the learning we build, patiently, in our classroom. 🤍

A family, growing together ♥️

The audience saw the performance but before the lights came on, before the curtains opened, before the applause…

there was Prayer🙏🏻

At Pravaah, every student stepped onto the Rangmanch with their ghungroos, offered the Gayatri Mantra and Guru Vandana, and bowed to the stage.

Because for us, the stage is not merely a place to perform.

It is a sacred space where we offer our art.

And perhaps, the energy everyone felt at the end… began with this moment at the beginning. ✨
