A Historic Silver for Barak Valley! 🥈🇮🇳
With immense happiness and pride, we are delighted to share that our very own Jahin Ahmed has won the Silver Medal at the Thailand International Karate Championships in the -50 kg, U-14 Male Kumite Category.

This achievement made our Independence Day celebration even more special ,a gift from the soil of Thailand to the people of India 🇮🇳❤️

On his incredible journey to the final, Jahin defeated opponents from the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, and Thailand, displaying remarkable courage, discipline, and fighting spirit. He narrowly missed the gold, losing the final by just 2 points to a player from Hong Kong.
This is a particularly historic moment for us, as Jahin is the first player from Barak Valley to win a medal in an Asian Karate Federation (AKF)-recognised competition. 🥈

Behind this medal are countless hours of hard work, day and night, by Jahin, his coaches, and everyone associated with Saha Newaj’s Flyingfeet Karate Academy

Unfortunately, on day 1 our 11-year-old Ahil Arhaan lost in the quarterfinal to Thailand 🇹🇭.
He played brilliantly and was leading 3-0. But in the last 30 seconds, due to some questionable judging, he lost the match.
We are not happy with this incident.

I know it’s tough to see hard work go like this. Ahil fought really well to get that 3-0 lead — that itself is a big achievement at an international level.
