10 MINUTE SHOULDER SEQUENCE⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Feeling pretty tight and stiff in your shoulders?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s a couple of my go-to stretches to help gently stretch out tight shoulders. I remember once I was so sore from pull-ups and lifting every single stretch was so intense but good at the same time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When holding the stretches, keep shoulders down at all times, sit tall and breathe deeply through your nose.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hold them for at least a minute on each side. Repeat them again or just follow this sequence after every workout.

Utkatasana is usually plain uncomfortable and pretty unnatural to hold, but luckily enough there are ways to make it slightly easier to deal with.
✅ TRY - No matter which Chair variation we choose, whether we keep feet together vs. hips-width, joint palms vs. arms parallel, gaze up vs. forward, there is ONE COMMON element and alignment bit which remains and that is FLAT LOWER BACK - which we may cue as posterior tilt or neutral position of the pelvis depending how much we would naturally arch the lumbar spine while in the pose
❌ AVOID - What we should always avoid is to lose the contraction of the core, flare ribs out, and stick the bum out (pelvis in anterior tilt)
💡MODIFY - What we can do to help the right alignment is to place a block between the knees (it encourages core contraction and posterior tilt) as well as not squat as much (just keep the center of gravity a little higher) et voilà!
