participation of competitors in the National Yoga Championship as well as in Regional events like Eastern India Chapter Yoga Championship, State Games Yoga Championship, State Yoga Championship, District Yoga Championship etc. There is a separate association at district level in Yoga which assists the West Bengal Yoga Association and preparation of Competitors. The selection of competitors is generally carried out on the basis of performance at State Championship. However, at times, special selection trials are also held to choose the competitors for participation in the National Yoga Championship, Eastern Yoga Championship, State Games and other competitions. After initial selection, the competitors are required to attend training camps. The selected qualified & experienced trainers are assisted by the West Bengal Yoga team which provides intensive training for competitors. The other responsibilities undertaken by the WBYA are as follows:

1. Maintaining liaison between the Yoga Federation of India and District associations & members

3. Protecting the amateur status of competitors

4. Arrangement of Diploma on Yoga course

5. Promoting and developing the Yoga
