I actually did this test with my 8 year old and his answers to my guilt were these..
Sometimes the loudest voice in motherhood is guilt — but the truest one is our kid’s 🩷

Oops, Guilt Again!!
For the longest time, guilt + shame made me disappear from this space -
Guilt for not showing up.
Shame for not doing what lights me up.
I even thought about giving up… but something inside me kept whispering: “You’re not done yet.”
So today, I’m going LIVE here at 3:30 PM to share my raw story of guilt, shame, and showing up again — not just for myself, but for every mama who feels like she’s drowning in it too.
If you’ve been carrying mom-guilt (for whatever reason), this one’s for you 🩷

Mom guilt isn’t your fault…and here’s why -
It doesn’t mean you’re failing. It’s the weight of all the “I shoulds” which come from borrowed expectations from others.
✨ The shift?
“I should” → “I choose”
I should never lose patience → I choose to repair after I yell.
One swap = Big relief
This is just one of the tools from the Oops, Guilt Again series. Join in if you want more of these simple tools to take back your power from Guilt!
What’s one “I should” you’ll swap for “I choose” today?

I’m clearly not over Coldplay at Wembley… but that’s not the point I’m making here.
Because somewhere between “Fix You” and “Something Just Like This,” I realized how loud mom-guilt can get — even in the middle of magic✨
But then the lyrics hit me — my kids don’t need a perfect mom.
They don’t need a superhero.
They just need someone they can turn to.
And that? I already am.
You already are.
So maybe the bravest thing we can do as mothers is to choose joy even when guilt shows up… because our joy is not selfish💫
💬 If this resonates, you’re going to love my Guilt Series — where I’m unpacking these raw, messy, and very real moments of motherhood… and how to rise above the guilt that comes with them. Comment “Growth” to get in!

ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪꜰ ɢᴜɪʟᴛ ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍᴇ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʙɪɢɢᴇꜱᴛ ɢʀᴏᴡᴛʜ?
I used to end my days with a mental list of all the ways I thought I failed:
– Guilt for not playing enough.
– Guilt for wanting just 5 minutes to myself.
– Guilt for dreaming of more than just motherhood.
Here’s the truth → guilt doesn’t have to be a life sentence.
It can actually be a guide — showing us what we truly want.
