The FPAI is the sole representative body for all professional players across India. It is a member of FIFPro the worldwide body for professional players
It was founded in 2006 and has been a member of FIFPro since 2008. The President from 2006 to 2013 was Bhaichung Bhutia while Renedy Singh is the current President .
