These are just a few to show that Sanath Jayasuriya was way ahead of his time, he belongs to his category. In fact, he makes you feel that he's from another planet. He can be termed as a bowler’s nightmare. He used to give them unnecessary stress and sap their confidence.
To remember that he played most of his career when T20 wasn't there. ODI had only one ball used for the entire 50 overs. 5 players were allowed outside the 30-yard circle after the first 15 overs. Even some of the ODIs were played with the red ball. Even in his final years, he could be ruthless by scoring 114 off 43 vs .
He's a revolutionary.

Still, they defeated the world beaters and won the final against the greater odds.

He was sensational against England in the Ashes 2019. He had a brilliant 2019–20 Test season.
He has used his singles and doubles to score runs at an amazing strike rate of 91.14 in ODIs. He hasn’t hit a single 6 till now in ODIs and has scored only 128 runs in boundaries.
In the 12 innings he has played, he has already amassed 473 runs at a decent average of about 40. That means he has run for the remaining 345 runs, brilliant!
His first ODI century has come at a strike rate of above 100.
He is truly amazing.
We just can't wait for him to get experience and stand there in test cricket and put a big price tag for his wicket.
We wish he will make it big in future.
Happy Birthday to Marnus.

You may find most of the cricketers can score a quick 150 for you on a 500 runs pitch but you can depend on Cheteshwar Pujara on a 200 runs pitch.

One of the finest swing bowlers of the early 20th century, England's , has proved that one may not have to be the fastest or tallest to be a great pace bowler. Instead, Hoggard showed that one can achieve the same with consistency and effort.
With 248 wickets in 67 matches, Hoggard was named as one of the five "Wisden Cricketers of the year" in 2006.
However, in 2008 he was dropped from the team to make a way for youngsters. In the very same year, Hoggard announced his retirement to end his highly successful eight-year international career. Given his exceptional ability to swing the ball, could have used his services for some more time.

From being under the shadows of and for around half of his career to finishing as the only Pakistani player to score 10000 test runs is a no mean achievement.
is one of the very cricketers to have an average of over 50 in tests either playing at home, away or at neutral venues.
His legendary achievements in Test format - a career average of 52, centuries against all Test-playing nations, 34 tons, six double hundreds and a triple hundred - have certainly not got the recognition he deserves in the world of .
A happy 43rd to Younis Khan, an excellent servant for Pakistan cricket.

He was overlooked by the selectors because of the legendary spin duo of Kumble and Harbhajan in the 2000s. He was overlooked by the selectors because of another spin duo of Ashwin and Jadeja in the 2010s. Maybe if he was born in some other era he could have become an all-time great.
