THE LEGACY ........
Starting from 1999 with the climb of unnamed peak of 6113 m & naming it YUNUM, we have climbed several virgin peaks of Himalaya with the years. This year too a five member team led by Ujjal Ray scaled two new heights of 6150 m & 6086 m in Salt Lake Valley of Ladakh Himalaya jointly with 4 member team of HNAF, Siliguri on 9th August, 2025. Team members were:
Snout- Ujjal Ray, Nandalal Sarkar, Pritam Basu, Soumyajit Saha & Sayak Sau;
HNAF- Ganesh Saha (Leader), Kalyan Deb, Sudeb Roy & Kajal Kr. Dutta.
We wholeheartedly congratulate all the team members for their remarkable success establishing a hearty brotherhood and exemplary collaborative accomplishment in conducting the venture.

A team of 5 members from Snout Adventurers Association, Kolkata led by Everester Ujjal Ray is leaving Kolkata this evening by Netaji Exp. to explore Salt valley of Ladakh & climb virgin peaks of more than 20000 ft thereof by the side of Starsafuk tso. The peaks were located years back by Shri Ray during a venture. Informations were gathered, approval from IMF was obtained, a long preperation has been taken by the team before star off for scaling new heights. The expedition is not only in a new terrain but without any support of sherpa/ guide.

Graduation Ceremony of Rock Climbing Course started with the song of Nirupam Dutta & followed by short video presentation of the course, 'Club Katha' & a spetacular presentation of 'Markha Valley trek in Ladakh' by Shri Tarun Bandyopadhyay.
Ex National footballer Shri Amit Bhadra, Shri Dibbendu Chatterjee, AO- South Point School & Cyclist Shri Ramprasad Naskar graced the occasion as Honorable Guests. Certificates, badges & prizes were handed over to the trainees. The program was well conducted by Smt. Lalti Dutta
