🏆 U-20 Srinagar Police Football Tournament 2025

Organised by: Srinagar Police under the Civic Action Programme
In collaboration with: J&K Football Fraternity

The Grand Finale of the U-20 Srinagar Police Football Tournament 2025 was held today at the Synthetic Turf, TRC Srinagar.
In an electrifying and competitive encounter between Nowgam Youth FC and KFA Bemina, KFA Bemina emerged victorious, clinching the championship with an impressive 3–1 win.

The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar.
Prominent guests included Mr. Wasim Aslam (J&K Football Fraternity & Former Chairman, JKFA), Shri Raja Zuhaib, JKPS (SP East), Shri Yaseer Ahmad, JKPS (SDPO Kothibagh), and Shri Adil Rashid (SHO Kothibagh).

During the felicitation ceremony, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy was honoured by Mr. Wasim Aslam on behalf of the J&K Football Fraternity.
Members of the Police — Shri Raja Zuhaib (SP East), Shri Yaseer Ahmad (SDPO Kothibagh), and Shri Adil Rashid (SHO Kothibagh) — were also felicitated by Mr. Bilal Wani, Mr. Irfan Haji, and Mr. Mohammad Amin Malik from the Football Fraternity for their outstanding efforts in organizing one of the finest youth tournaments ever held in Srinagar.

The tournament stood out as Srinagar Police successfully engaged youth from all corners of the district — including Lawaypora, Panthachowk, Nowgam, Dalgate, Anchar, Downtown, Bemina, Eidgah, Upper Town, and several other areas — spreading the message of sportsmanship, discipline, and unity.

• Player of the Tournament / Golden Boot: Aasif (Nowgam Youth FC) — Presented by SSP Srinagar
• Best Goalkeeper (Golden Gloves): Swad (KFA Bemina) — Presented by SSP Srinagar
• Man of the Match (Final): Tawheed (KFA Bemina) — Presented by SP East Srinagar

Additionally, the Chief Guest distributed football uniforms among all participating teams from across Srinagar as a gesture of encouragement and continued support to budding footballers.

The Chief Guest also felicitated key members of the Football Fraternity for their valuable contributions, including:
Mr. Naseem-ul-Gani Lone (Tournament Director) for his outstanding leadership, Mr. Zubair Ahmad (Tournament Manager) for exceptional coordination, Mr. Pervaiz Sidiq (Chairman, Shehr-e-Khaas Sports Fraternity), Mr. Zuhoor Mir, Mr. Bilal Wani, Mr. Irfan Haji (Chairman, STFC Natipora), Mr. Tanveer Mir (TM Sports), Adv. Firdous Ahmad, Mr. Beig Shamim Ahmad (Senior Journalist), Mr. Mohammad Amin (President, DFA Anantnag), Mr. Naveed Ashraf, and Mr. Bilal Ahmad (Anantnag) Mr Amin Sahib Hockey Coach

Following the awards ceremony, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, IPS, along with Mr. Wasim Aslam, presented trophies and cash rewards to the winners and runners-up teams.



🎙️ Remarks & Closing

In his address, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy lauded the players, coaches, team officials, and organizers — particularly Tournament Director Shri Naseem-ul-Gani Lone and Tournament Manager Shri Zubair Ahmad (NIS Coach) — for their commitment and teamwork in making the event a grand success.
He also appreciated the J&K Police officials and match referees for their professionalism and smooth conduct of matches.

Dr. Chakravarthy highlighted the importance of sports in shaping youth discipline and character, reaffirming that:

“Srinagar Police will continue organizing such events across the district to engage youth in constructive activities and provide them with platforms to showcase their talent at the national level.”

At the closing ceremony, Mr. Wasim Aslam expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Guest and all ranks of J&K Police, especially SP East, SDPO Kothibagh, and SHO Kothibagh, for their tireless efforts and commitment to youth development through football.
He also commended the match officials and extended special thanks to the Head of Referees (HOR, JKFA) for ensuring fair play and professionalism throughout the event.

A special note of appreciation was extended to Mr. Tanveer Mir, a passionate sports journalist, for his consistent coverage, live reporting, and contribution to the growth and visibility of football across Jammu & Kashmir.
