Today was a special and memorable day for all our children who are participating in the official competition. Before the competition, the official weight measurement of all the players was completed at Chowk Stadium. The children participated in the process with great responsibility and enthusiasm.
After the weight measurement, the children were taken to visit Satkhanda, one of Lucknow’s historical landmarks, giving them some time to relax, explore, and enjoy. Satkhanda was built during the reign of Nawab Muhammad Ali Shah, the third Nawab of Awadh. It was originally planned to be a seven-storey structure, but the construction could not be completed and only four levels were built. It was designed as a tall watchtower and remains a notable symbol of Lucknow’s Nawabi-era architecture.
The children got an opportunity to see this historical heritage site closely and learn about its history. There was great excitement and happiness among the children, and they truly enjoyed the experience. 😊❤️ Along with preparing for the competition, visiting a historical and cultural place made the day even more special and memorable for them.
Along with sports and training, it is also important to connect children with our rich history and cultural heritage. Such experiences help broaden their knowledge, build confidence, and contribute to their overall personality development.
Today was a beautiful day filled with sports, excitement, happiness, learning, and unforgettable memories for our young players.
Sharing some memorable moments from this wonderful day with our children. 📸❤️✨
Wishing all our players the very best for the upcoming competition. Give your best with hard work, discipline, confidence, and a positive spirit. 🏆🥋❤️
Today, I am here to speak about a topic that has the power to change lives—Taekwondo.
Many people think Taekwondo is only about punching, kicking, or fighting. But the truth is, Taekwondo is much more than a sport. It is a way of life. It is a journey of self-improvement, discipline, respect, confidence, and character.
The moment a student ties a white belt around the waist, a new journey begins. A white belt represents innocence and a willingness to learn. From that day onward, every class teaches something valuable—not just for competitions, but for life itself.
The first lesson in Taekwondo is Respect.
We bow before entering the training area. We bow to our instructor. We bow to our training partners. We bow before and after practice. These bows remind us that true strength begins with humility. A good martial artist never disrespects others. Respect for parents, teachers, elders, and fellow students is the foundation of Taekwondo.
The second lesson is Discipline.
Discipline means doing the right thing even when nobody is watching. It means arriving on time, wearing a clean uniform, listening carefully, following instructions, and practicing every day. Discipline learned in Taekwondo helps students become successful in school, at home, and later in their careers.
The third lesson is Self-Confidence.
Many students join Taekwondo feeling shy and nervous. They hesitate to speak in front of others. They fear failure. But after months of practice, they stand tall with confidence. Every new belt earned reminds them that hard work always brings success.
Taekwondo teaches us that confidence is not given—it is earned through dedication.
Another important lesson is Self-Control.
Real strength is not shown by hurting someone. Real strength is shown by controlling anger, emotions, and actions. A Taekwondo student learns to remain calm during difficult situations and make wise decisions.
Taekwondo also teaches Perseverance.
Success does not come in one day. Every kick requires thousands of repetitions. Every technique requires patience. Every black belt was once a beginner who never gave up.
Whenever we fall during training, we stand up again. This simple habit teaches us one of life’s greatest lessons: never quit.
Fitness is another important gift of Taekwondo.
Regular training improves strength, flexibility, balance, speed, stamina, coordination, and overall health. It develops both body and mind. A healthy body supports a healthy mind.
Taekwondo is also one of the best forms of Self-Defense.
Students learn how to protect themselves from danger while avoiding unnecessary violence. The goal of Taekwondo is not to fight but to prevent conflict whenever possible.
In Taekwondo, students also learn Poomsae, which develops balance, precision, focus, breathing control, and discipline.
They learn Kyorugi, or sparring, where they practice courage, strategy, timing, respect, and sportsmanship.
Winning a medal is wonderful, but learning how to accept both victory and defeat gracefully is even more valuable.
Taekwondo teaches us that every opponent helps us become better.
Every belt has a meaning.
The white belt represents a new beginning.
The yellow belt symbolizes growth.
The green belt represents development.
The blue belt symbolizes reaching toward the sky with higher goals.
The red belt reminds students to control their skills with responsibility.
The black belt represents maturity, knowledge, humility, and continuous learning—not the end of the journey.
A black belt is not someone who knows everything.
A black belt is someone who never stops learning.
Taekwondo also teaches Leadership.
Senior students help juniors.
Experienced athletes encourage beginners.
Leaders do not only give instructions—they inspire others through their actions.
One of the greatest lessons of Taekwondo is Integrity.
Do the right thing.
Be honest.
Accept your mistakes.
Keep your promises.
Work hard even when nobody is watching.
These values create not only great athletes but also great human beings.
Parents often ask what their children gain from Taekwondo.
The answer is simple.
Children become stronger physically.
They become more disciplined mentally.
They become more confident socially.
They become more respectful at home.
They become more responsible in school.
They become more determined in life.
In today’s world, children face many distractions.
Mobile phones, social media, laziness, and negative influences can affect their future.
Taekwondo provides a positive environment where students learn healthy habits, time management, discipline, and meaningful friendships.
The values learned inside the Dojang remain with students throughout their lives.
These lessons help them become better doctors, engineers, teachers, officers, athletes, entrepreneurs, soldiers, and responsible citizens.
Remember, medals may shine for a day, but character shines for a lifetime.
A champion is not only the person standing on the podium.
A champion is the person who never gives up, never stops learning, respects everyone, and continues moving forward despite difficulties.
As a coach, my dream is not only to produce champions in competitions.
My dream is to produce champions in life.
Students who respect their parents.
Students who respect their teachers.
Students who serve society.
Students who inspire others.
Students who make their country proud.
Let us remember the spirit of Taekwondo.
Courtesy.
Integrity.
Perseverance.
Self-Control.
Indomitable Spirit.
If every student follows these five principles, success will naturally follow.
Finally, I would like to leave you with one powerful message:
“Taekwondo is not about creating people who know how to fight. It is about creating people who know when not to fight, how to respect, how to persevere, and how to become the best version of themselves.” Satyam Srivastava
