hannelizing their thoughts as well as the necessary inspiration to be the future pillars of Indian gastroenterology. These brilliant young minds are the ‘gastrohub’ as they are the ones who will determine the global coordinates of Indian Gastroenterology. A spin off from these meetings was the feeling of camaraderie which developed within these young gastroenterologists. Interactions in sessions, bonding during evening programs, discussing challenges commonly faced by them during the DM/DNB programs; the tricks to outwit such challenges led to each one of them getting to know the other and laid down the foundation for what can be termed as esprit de corps. Hence, the program director felt that we should go a step further and encourage the transition from acquaintanceships to affiliations. It was felt that the group as a whole could address many issues which would benefit the individual team members. The ‘GastroIndia hub ‘ could provide a common platform for the young gastroenterologists to exchange ideas on practically anything related to their profession . There is no fixed objective or aim. The mandate for it can include anything like:
a)Informal exchange of news and views on training in GE in India
b) Form friends within the community of Young Gastroenterologists across India and overseas
c) Share information and advice on job and career opportunities in GE for young Indian Gastroenterologists. d) Tracking the whereabouts of fellow gastroenterologists as they move from one job to another
e) A common voice which can raise concerns and debate over concerns amongst themselves and take up the initiative of finding corrective solutions which can be forwarded to the Indian society of Gastroenterology . The collective voice can raise more ripples than an individual voice. f) Share challenging clinical problems faced and innovative solutions
g) Maybe as simple as wishing Happy New year
