SHUAI JIAO TECHNICAL TRAINING SEMINAR – CHENNAI

Under the banner of the Shuai Jiao Association of India, the Tamil Nadu Shuai Jiao Association successfully conducted a Technical Training Seminar on 30 November at Dr. Ambedkar Hall, Anna Nagar East, Chennai.

A total of 55 participants attended the seminar, including 12 members from Karnataka led by:

Mr. Manjunath, General Secretary, Karnataka Shuai Jiao Association

Mr. Thipeswami, President, Karnataka Shuai Jiao Association

The seminar was conducted by
Dr. Vishnu Sahai, President, Shuai Jiao Association of India,
who provided high-level technical training to all athletes.

The event was honored by the presence of
S. Anbu, President, Shuai Jiao Association of Tamil Nadu.

The camp was efficiently organized by
Seetha Lakshmi Ganeshan, General Secretary, Tamil Nadu Shuai Jiao Association.

It is a great honour and a proud moment for all of us to announce that Grand Master Antonio and Master Alessio will be gracing the 1st National Shuai Jiao Championship 2026, to be held in Lucknow from 20th to 22nd February.

President of Shuai Jiao Association of India, Dr. Vishnu Sahai told that Shuai Jiao game (Chinese Wrestling) is a very famous game in China. At this time, Shuai Jiao game is being played in many countries of the world apart from China. In India, it started from Saharanpur city which is in Uttar Pradesh.

The first national technical seminar of this game was organized in Saharanpur from 29 April 2023 to 2 May 2023 at Royal Castle Indoor Hall. Dr. Vishnu Sahai gave the responsibility of conducting this seminar to Mr. Pradeep Tyagi. In which 150 coaches and
players from 22 states participated. To conduct this seminar, President of European Shuai Jiao, Grand Master Antonio Leniano and multiple champion Alessio Pascuali came to India from Italy and taught the nuances of this game to everyone. In the last two years, this game has become very popular in India. In view of the popularity of this game in India, the second National Technical Seminar was organized from 22 January 2024 to 24 January 2024 at Hermitage Tourist Resort, Surajkund, Faridabad (Haryana)
