A couple things that I want to point out is when she says “how much your body burns”, most of that number is happening whether you exercise (or move) at all.

You don’t have to burn 2000 calories a day through exercise.

The time to get off the treadmill is NOT 2000 calories burned (even if it was accurate)

The other thing is, please avoid feeling that the day you eat too much you’re all of a sudden gaining weight.

Even if you technically are. Just probably very very little.

Same deal if you’re in a deficit for a day. Makes sense to think you’ve lost some fat in that day; maybe 1/5th of a pound or something.

Hey nothing to sneeze at, but you’ll need to be consistent with either to see and feel real changes.

And that’s where the underlying habits come in — meal prep, cooking, planning ahead, getting back on track (like I am today), and anything else that makes all this stuff easier for you to do.

These things need to STICK. But they also need to function with your life. Or maybe other areas of your life may have to change so you can actually get back to the basics.

Like Susan said, generally speaking, understanding what to do is really simple.

But doing it can take time to figure out. Fat loss can happen fast, but the changes you need to make could take longer.
