IISM Students grinding it out with Mumbai City FC in ISL 2025-26 ⚽
The latest season of the Indian Super League (ISL), which kicked off in February 2026, has seen several aspiring sports professionals from IISM's Sports Management batches work with Mumbai City FC. 🏟️
Supporting their team operations on matchdays and throughout the season, many of our students are fulfilling their dream of working at the stadium with the team they rooted for during their childhood. 🤩
Applying their learnings of venue operations & team management, these youngsters are gaining valuable live exposure in the ISL, which will solidify their foundation in the sports industry.

From classrooms to some of India’s biggest sporting stages, Ksh*tij Singh has truly made the most of his journey at IISM. 🎓
Reflecting on his time during the Postgraduate Programme in Sports Management, Ksh*tij shared how opportunities across iconic events shaped his experience: from serving as a State Liaison Officer at the first-ever Khelo India Beach Games in Diu to being part of the grand 50-year celebration at Wankhede Stadium.
Among his favourite memories was working on a podcast alongside two IISM professors, an experience that made his learning journey even more special. He also spoke about the constant support and warmth from the faculty throughout his time at the institute.
Today, as he proudly receives his degree, we celebrate not just his achievement, but the experiences, memories, and growth that came with it. ✨

"IISM has been a platform which really helped me understand the sports ecosystem", said Anaveer Nanna, one of our Master of Sports Management graduates, reflecting on how he has evolved a lot over his two years at IISM!
From being a fan to getting to know the intricacies of the sports ecosystem, Anaveer has been able to unlock a new perspective in his career. He highlighted how his interactions with the faculty of IISM really stuck with him.
Over his two years of MSM, Anaveer has made several memories at IISM, be it on campus via activities & fun events or off the campus at internships & on-ground volunteering at sports events.
We're extremely happy to see him achieve what he dreamed of and will hope to see him succeed at his future endeavours!

Reflecting on her journey from a 17-year-old India debutant to World Cup glory, she inspired our young graduates with some of the most inspiring anecdotes from her life & career.
That exclusion from the 2022 ODI World Cup, the mental & sporting grind she undertook in the maidaans of Mumbai, and the redemption of the 2025 ODI World Cup, which was encapsulated beautifully via her headline knock of 127 not out in the semi-final against Australia — Jemimah sailed through all of it via 'Endurance'.
It was a fabulous address to our Graduating Batch of 2025 as Jemimah inspired all our young grads to keep pushing & just show up because life gives you what you are meant for!

At IISM’s Degree Distribution Ceremony 2026, we were honoured to hear from our Chief Guest, Mr. Amol Muzumdar. His words left a lasting impact on every graduate stepping into a new chapter.
"Wins are not always how you plan, games are not always fair but your response to those moments is what shapes your career and your character."_
Through stories from his own journey, he emphasised the power of self-belief, the importance of discovering one’s own success mantra, and the value of consistency in thought. His recollection of a Ranji Trophy match where his team stood at 0 for 5 and went on to win, served as a powerful reminder that setbacks are not endings, but opportunities to rise.
As he put it, great teams are built when 0 for 5 is not the end, but the beginning.
A truly inspiring address that our graduates will carry with them as they navigate the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Athlete of the Month – Niti Govind Ladha ⚽
“I was in 4th std when I saw the boys play football and thought, why not give it a shot,” says Niti, a Bachelor of Sports Management student at IISM. 🎓
From training with boys and learning the game from her brother to making her mark in senior district football with a Player of the Series win, her journey has been built on resilience.
Despite a ligament injury in 2022 that kept her out for months, she came back stronger, winning gold and another Player of the Series at the PDFA Seniors.
She has represented Maharashtra at the SGFI U-19 Nationals twice, winning a historic bronze, followed by a silver with the Mumbai Senior Women’s District team. In 2026, she competed at the Khelo India Beach Games, and recently secured a top 3 finish in the MFA Women’s Premier League. She recently captained the Mumbai University team for the west zone and the All India University Games as well. ⚽
Her journey hasn’t been without challenges, from recurring injuries to early scepticism about playing with boys. But with constant support from her family, she turned those doubts into belief, earning her place in the Maharashtra U-19 team for two consecutive years. 🙌
“I chose IISM because of my love and passion for sports… even if I am unable to play professionally, I want to be a part of it in any way.” 🤝
