In the early days, we had the pleasure to work with Mr.Pradhyum Reddy, a USSF ‘A’ (United States Soccer Federation) licensed coach and Ex-Head Coach of Shillong Lajong FC who customized a curriculum for SSE on the lines of what was being taught in the U.S. Mr.Reddy had just arrived in India after spending 10 years with youth academies abroad. In the summer of 2012, SSE hosted Benfica Soccer Schools of Portugal in Mumbai. We are proud to say that we were part of a little history as Benfica’s trip to India became their most successful International camp with 128 participating students. Benfica’s unique philosophy of having every practice mimic a real game situation was a complete success and SSE saw a lot of value in their style of coaching. We have since implemented majority of their coaching sessions into ours. The English Influence

SSE’s Technical Director Mr.Hugh Kim Lewis, a UEFA ‘A’ (Union of European Football Associations) licensed coach brings with him experience from the English Premier League, the U.S, Turkey, Holland and from domestic Football around the country. Mr.Lewis’s coaching style and curriculum encourages children to be smart and thoughtful players while allowing them to learn at an age appropriate pace. SSE TRAINING PROGRAMS

Training Kids ( 3 to 5 Years Or U5s)

SSE’s coaching philosophy for this age group is for kids to play FUN games using colorful props and Footballs, to work on their motor skills and coordination. At this age, we work on capturing the imagination and attention of the little ones. No actual Football is taught, as the kids are too young to comprehend the fundamentals. This class gets them ready for our U6 and U8 programs. The coaching schedule for kids of this age group is a Twice a week program (1 hour sessions). Parents do have the flexibility of increasing the number of days if they like. Training Kids (5 to 8 Years or U6s / U8s)

SSE’s coaching philosophy for this age group is for the kids to simply enjoy themselves, get acquainted to the Beautiful Game and to experience the social benefits of playing a team sport. Training Kids (9 to 12 Years Or U10s / U12s)

Our coaching philosophy for this age group progresses from the U8s but at the same time is mindful of the fact that we are still training kids. The FUN element is not lost here and we now focus and build on all the fundamentals and combination play. Training Teenagers (13 to 16 Years or U14s / U16s)

SSE’s coaching philosophy for this age group progresses from the U12s. The players at this stage will be comfortable with the fundamentals and will be stretched into more game situations so that they can develop their tactical understanding. The coaching schedule for Teenagers of this age group is a Twice a week program (1.5 hour sessions). Players have the flexibility of increasing the number of days if they like. Training Adults ( Free Age)

The sessions in our ‘Free Age’ classes are for guys who are looking for a regular fitness regiment along with honing their skills further. Coaches focus on fitness, stretching, technique, fundamentals and strategy in their sessions. Majority of our drills are based on real game like situations to keep the session competitive and interesting. The coaching schedule for Free Age is a Once a week program (1.5 hour sessions) on Sunday mornings.

SSE LEAGUES

We have been the pioneers in setting up an Amateur 5 a side League for kids and adults of the city. The 'SSE Champions League' is in it's 2nd season. The 2012/2013 season will have kids from the 5 to 13 years age group. This year the League will kick off in the first week of November with 200 players participating.

'Total Football League' (TFL) is our league for the Free Age category. TFL has gained momentum from Season One with 28 Teams (280 players) from all over the city taking part in the 2012/2013 season. League kicks off this November 2012!
