Barcelona’s Lionel Messi is on track to make a return from injury in next weekend’s titanic El Clasico clash with Real Madrid, as per Mundo Deportivo.

Messi has been out of action since tearing his medial collateral ligament in his left knee in September’s La Liga fixture with Las Palmas and has since missed Barcelona’s last five league games.

The Argentinian talisman has also been forced to sit out their last three consecutive Champions League ties but now looks set for a much-awaited return.
