The School of Classical Ballet & Western Dance is India's longest running dance school and was founded in Mumbai, 1966. Classes are held under the direction of Khushcheher Dallas who is a registered and highly qualified teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance (London). Celebrating today the birthday of Dame Margot Fonteyn, the (RAD) longest serving President.

She was appointed Prima Ballerina assoluta of the Sadler's Well Ballet Company by Queen Elizabeth ll.

Fonteyn created magic when she danced. Her dancing was distinguished by its perfect line and exquisite lyricism.

It was a honour for our Founder director, Tushna Dallas who had the rare opportunity to watch her dance with Rudolf Nureyev at a performance of Giselle. Also a privledge to have had the chance to have met her in person.

It’s time for The RAD Exams 2026!

Come April and preparations begin for The RAD exams with students practicing hard under the support and guidance of their teachers. Rehearsals begin to acclimate the students and make them feel at ease before the Big Day. Words of encouragement flow as the young artists prepare to showcase their moves.

Nerves, Strength, Character and Smiles - it’s all in a day’s work as students get ready to perform while parents and teachers gather to cheer them on!
