Last post related to this Season
A brilliant season which ended on a sad note but if we keep aside the negative part lots of positive this year
1 Topping the group table was the biggest highlight of this season and doing it in our debut 1st division season is awesome
2 The players gave it all and would like to thank them for their committment
3 The fans have been terrific which always motivated the team
But one more thing we learned this season is that always be aware of what is going on and always be updated of whats going on and lets make sure mistakes are not repeated. Thanks for the support and WSC will bounce back next year. Also would like to say Sorry to all the players.

End of the 1st Division for WSC due to technical procedure not completed. Shame on Das Football Academy who inspite of losing 2 games badly protested against WSC for incompletion of CRS and entered the quarter finals to be played against Young Guns. Before the game Das Football Academy were not protesting and after losing they decided to protest. Pathetic Sportamanship and terrible attitude towards the game.

Prathamesh Samant played his last game for WSC as he is getting ready for a new phase in his life.
One of the best and a selfless player of WSC will be missed and we wish him the best in the near future
WSC will miss you buddy
A win and WSC would be through to playoff quarterfinals
The game started on a high tempo and the first clear chance was presented to Wendyl who hit the post. WSC were pressing for a goal and good work by Wendyl along with a brilliant finsh from Prathamesh Samant gave WSC the lead. Das looked to reply back but Aayush Shetty denied them with a brilliant block
HT WSC 1-0 DAS
The second half started in a similar fashion but it was Das who pulled one back from a set piece. WSC did not a breathier to Das and scored immediately after a cool finish from Priyesh Chalkar. The game was put to bed by Wendyl when he doubled WSC's lead. Omkar Gudhekar could have scored his debut goal only to be denied by the goalkeeper and poor control

Team List of 1st Div Playoff Qualifiers
WSC have reached for the playoffs of 1st Division with a 3-0 win over KNFC.
The 3-0 win was a walkover as KNFC didnt turn up for the game.
Also WSC topped Group D
What a debut till now for WSC with the team all set for the next challenge.
WSC vs KNFC 5th Sept 2.30PM
A win would take WSC to playoffs spot of 1st division and a draw or loss will knock WSC out of playoff contention.
Everything to play for.
A game which neither team afford to lose and a loss which could make a team knock out of the 1st division playoff spot.
Its WSC vs Oranje and as expected the game was started with caution by both the teams and it was scrappy 15 minutes into the game but a brillant run from Prathamesh Samant allowed a foul and rewarded WSC with a penalty and Mayur Owalekar from the spot with a perfect finish. Oranje responded well and was denied by an excellent stop from Sanket Gawde. They also hit the post just before the end of 1st half.
HT SCORE WSC 1-0 ORANJE
The second half started on a similar fashion and it was Oranje with most of the ball but the good chances were presented to Raghvan and Wendyl who could not convert. WSC had to pay for the missed opportunities after Sumesh Kapadia's costly error helped Oranje equalise and with the game ending in a draw, the table of Group D is wide open with Bombay Gym Colts, WSC, Oranje and Tata having a chance to qualify for the playoffs. A win in the next game will secure a top spot as well a playoff spot for WSC. Everything to play for in the last game of our group.
FT WSC 1 -1 ORANJE
Two teams with 3 wins and a loss and both the teams knew this was a must win game to have a chance to qualify for the play offs.
WSC and Tata Powers both started the game with caution but WSC changed the gears and scored early with a good goal by Raghvan assisted by Wendyl with a terrific ball. WSC gained confidence with that and doubled their lead with Raghvan again on the scoresheet. Tata Powers knew they needed to respond and could have scored just before the interval only for Sagar to make a brilliant save. HT score was 2-0
The second half started with Tata needing a goal and they scored early in the second half after an unlikely mistake by Sagar. The goal gave Tata the confidence but WSC also knew they needed to score to maintain their two goal advantage. A terrific run by Prathamesh Samant helped with WSC the penalty and Raghvan completed his hat-trick with a decent penalty. Tata applied pressure immediately after the goal and the pressure paid off through a lucky goal from the corner. Intense last 15 on the cards and looked like the game could be anybody's for the taking. WSC again doubled the lead with a brilliant counter attack and Raghvan scored his fourth goal of the match and Wendyl again with a brilliant assist. The game ended with WSC winning 4-2 and still the hopes to qualify for playoffs is alive and next up is the most important game of the 1st division against Orange in a must win clash to book the playoff spot.
WSC 4-2 Tata Powers
