Bangladesh have refused to travel to India for the upcoming T20 World Cup citing concerns around "safety and well-being" of the players.
They have conveyed this to ICC and shared press release on social media also.
Now, it's going to be very tough situation for ICC as well as ICC chief Jai Shah to handle this. If BCB stays firm with their stans of not playing in India, ICC has only two options with they can carry out, first one to reschedule all Bangladesh matches and shift their matches in Srilanka. But it's not only about Bangladesh they need to relocate matches of other 4 teams in their pool. So, it's going to be very tough to relocate matches of 5 teams from India to Srilanka in very short time and there would be a huge logistics charges as well.
The second option is that ICC ask BCB that there is no security threat in India for them and either they need to Play in India or they can move out of the T20 World Cup 2026.
Let's se what is ICC's decision?
