The Poinsur Gymkhana is a unique project where an area measuring more than 40,000sq meters of space has been adopted from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. It encompasses a sports club jogging track gymnastics, outdoor and indoor games and other recreational activities for children and elders of all ages, with the middle class in mind.

Poinsur Gymkhana proudly celebrated National Sports Day by felicitating talented young sportspersons for their outstanding achievements across various sports. 🌟🏅

Conceptualised and guided by Janasevak & Former Member of Parliament Shri Gopal Shetty ji, this annual initiative aims to recognise sporting talent and encourage our young athletes to achieve greater heights.

In his inspiring message, Shri Gopal Shetty ji appealed to parents to support their children in pursuing sports alongside education for their overall development.

Ms. Sayali Jadhav, District Sports Officer, North Mumbai, highlighted that sports develop important qualities such as Commitment, Concentration and Dedication, which contribute to success in every sphere of life.

📚 Another highlight was the launch of ‘Badalte Krida Jagat’, authored by Shri Sunil Valavalkar, who appreciated Poinsur Gymkhana and Shri Gopal Shetty ji for creating excellent infrastructure and facilities to nurture and support sporting talent.

🏹 Proud Moment for Poinsur Gymkhana! 🏆

We are delighted to share that our talented archers from Poinsur Gymkhana delivered a stellar performance at the Mumbai Mayor Cup National Field Indoor Archery Championship 2025–26, recently held at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai.

At the National Championship, Team Maharashtra emerged as the Overall Champion, with our Poinsur Gymkhana archers making a significant contribution by winning an impressive 13 Gold and 5 Silver Medals.

At the Mumbai Level Championship, our team secured an outstanding 2nd Place, winning 10 Gold, 6 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal.

🥇 23 Gold | 🥈 11 Silver | 🥉 1 Bronze

This remarkable achievement once again demonstrates the dedication, discipline and sporting excellence of our archers and reinforces Poinsur Gymkhana’s growing strength in the sport of archery.

We are also fortunate to have the constant guidance, encouragement and wholehearted support of our Mentor, Janasevak Shri Gopal Shetty ji.His continuous efforts towards promoting sports and encouraging young sporting talent have always been a great source of inspiration and motivation for our players and the entire Poinsur Gymkhana family.

Heartiest congratulations to all our champion archers and our dedicated Coach, Mr. Milind Panchal, International Level 2 Instructor, whose guidance, training and commitment have played an important role in this outstanding achievement.

🧘‍♀️ International Yoga Day 2026 Celebrated at Poinsur Gymkhana 🧘‍♂️

Poinsur Gymkhana proudly celebrated International Yoga Day 2026 with enthusiastic participation from members, families, senior citizens, and fitness enthusiasts.

This year's theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing," inspired participants to embrace yoga as a way of achieving better physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

We were honoured by the presence of Janasevak Shri Gopal Shetty as Chief Guest and distinguished Guests of Honour Shri Umesh Shukla, renowned film director (Oh My God! and 102 Not Out), and Smt. Riddhi Umesh Shukla, acclaimed Gujarati theatre artist.

The event was successfully organized under the leadership of Dr. Jyoti Sagar, with the support of Smt. Jyoti Popat, Ms. Sudha of Patanjali, their dedicated teams, and organizations including Heartfulness, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar School, and other wellness groups.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants, volunteers, instructors, and supporters for making this celebration a grand success. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to a healthier, happier, and more balanced life through yoga.
