SYSTEM STARTS AT HOME, NOT JUST IN PARLIAMENT*
Letter to my 5th std self
Dear 10 year old me,
Failing didn’t make you a disgrace. The world will tell you: 10th, 12th, Career = Everything. But no one tells you: There are 99 more chances.
For years I thought I was the most disgraced human being on earth.
No one told me "You are not your marks. You are not one exam".
We are so quick to blame the system, the government, and the school. But we never talk about the system at our own dining table.
To the kid reading this: You are more than marks.
To the parent reading this: Your words carry more weight than any tuition.
Let's start the conversation at home first.
The "study-study, 10th, 12th, career" pressure makes kids feel like one exam = their whole life. And when there’s no one to say "failure is okay, try again", that’s where the real damage happens.
Who is then responsible for the suicides... Us or the system?
