This Independence Day Polygon Bikes & Malad Cycling Club bring to you an exciting community event that celebrates Freedom and Good Health. Come be a part of the Polygon Independence Duathlon this 15th August and connect with the your community to celebrate 75 yrs of Independence of our great Nation.

Date : 15th August 2022.
Timing : 6:15 am
Location : Malad Back Road/Mindspace.

The event has been split into multiple categories to best suit participant’s preferences.

Event Categories :
1. Full Duathlon. 20Kms Cycling + 5Kms Running.
2. Half Dualthlon. 10Kms Cycling + 2.5Kms Running.
3. Only Cycling. 25Kms.
4. Only Cycling. 15Kms
5. Only Running 10Kms
6. Only Running. 5Kms.

All Participants will receive Finisher Medals and E-Certificates on Completion of the event, along with 3 exciting Lucky Draws.

1. Lucky Draw 1 : Voucher/Merchandise Worth Rs.10,000/-
2. Lucky Draw 2 : Voucher/Merchandise Worth Rs.5,000/-
3. Lucky Draw 3 : Voucher/Merchandise Worth Rs.3,000/-

Rules & Regulations:
1. This event is not a race/timed event but you are more than welcome to chase personal PRs. But, the completion of the distances of Running and or Cycling in the event you have chosen IS required to qualify for the Medal and E-Certificate.
2. All participants will be eligible for the Lucky Draw.
3. Last day of Entry is 14th August 12pm.
4. Helmets & Riding Lights are compulsory for the event.
5. All Participants must adhere to proper road safety and follow all rules there off. Remember this is not a race; it is community event on public roads
6. MCC or the Organisers are not liable to any claim of any form.

*Monsoon tips* *Safety Tips*

1. Service your bike before monsoon, see to it that the brakes pad are fairly new and not worned out, the cable tension needs to be checked
2. Reduce ur tire pressure to 5-10PSI than ur usual std for extra grip.
3. Wear Helmet.Rain No rain. helmet is a must
4. Ride slow and stay in control.
5. Before going all out on a patch of road, gauge if the road is dry and whether u have grip on it.
6. Stay off the extreme left of the road (white line), usually oil,glass shard,nails all wash over to the left side of the road. it might be slippery as well, avoid it at all cost.
7. Braking power reduces with wet rims, try braking early to slow down instead of doing hard stops. Use both your brakes and not just the rear..
8. Tag along with someone and learn hand signals to warn other rides of speed breakers, potholes.
9. Stay clear of all vehicles on the road, be it motorbikes or fellow cyclists.

To qualify as a finisher you have to cycle a total distance stated in Challenge sub category you choose to select in given 30 days.

To qualify you have to complete 250kms of Cycling and 60km of Running in 30 days for successful completion

Dates : 2nd October 2021 to 31st October 2021
Registration Fees - Rs. 499

To qualify as a finisher you have to Run 5kms at least any 20 days from the given 30 days.

PS : Medal distribution for the 1 month and 100 day challenge will be announced.

Rules :
1) PS: You can either run or ride on a particular day as one of each activity will be considered for a day.
2) Record your ride on Strava, Enndomondo, Garmin, TomTom... Any App and upload the data on our Website.
3) Manual update is not allowed in any application.
4) Indoor ride/run is allowed if proper equipment present (trainer,traidmil)
5) Only one activity will be allowed in a day.
6) Helmet + Lights Compulsory. + Emergency ID Card is compulsory for each ride.
7) Once you register and pay for a challenge, there is no refund policy.
