Jaipur: http://tab.fo/jaipur Capoeira is a unique sport / martial art form that combines fight moves, dance and acrobatics with live music. It is a non-violent, non-combative form of self defence. Capoeira is a great way to stay fit - it combines cardiovascular and strength training; burns fat and builds muscle, flexibility, and endurance. Capoeira is great for children too - increases physical strength, power and flexibility, gives them courage and self-confidence, and teaches them to concentrate and think creatively. With Capoeira, you also learn music, samba, afro-dance, maculele, percussion, acrobatics, history and the philosophy of the sport. You are immersed in a new culture. CDO in India was founded by Reza Baba Massah, a certified Capoeira instructor trained at CDO Israel. From 4 students in 2006, the Capoeira way of life, today, impacts more than a thousand lives. Meet Our Capoeira Teachers!
Instructor Giraffa × Instructor Tico

Capoeira has shaped their lives, giving them a career, a purpose, and an opportunity to inspire the next generation.

For the past 15 years, the Vatsalya Foundation has supported the Centre for Capoeira India’s mission of developing skilled Capoeira teachers through its Skill Development Programme.

This programme empowers adolescents through Capoeira, promoting physical and mental well-being while preparing them to become future instructors. Throughout this journey, they develop the skills and confidence in themselves to guide and inspire other children.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Vatsalya Foundation and Swati Mukherjee, for their continued support and belief in our mission. Your ongoing encouragement has been invaluable in helping us create opportunities for young people through Capoeira.

Did you know that everyone you saw performing in the Capoeira ensemble at The Global impact forum- Civilization Legacy is a teacher?

They are passionate Capoeira educators who teach over 3,000 children across India, sharing this beautiful art of self-expression, movement and self-defence - Brazil’s national sport and a UNESCO-recognised cultural heritage.

They don’t just perform Capoeira.
They live it, teach it and share its culture.

Now that’s what we call a cultural dialogue between Brazil and India

A day. A conversation. A celebration of culture. And an experience that brought Brazil and India a little closer.

The Centre for Capoeira India as honoured to be part of the Global Impact Forum, hosted by AP Globale in partnership with the Government of Maharashtra and the BRICS Youth Alliance.

A heartfelt thank you to APGlobale and Jahanvi Pawar for creating such a beautiful and meaningful event.

The idea of “A Civilization Legacy” is truly powerful and honestly, one that our country needs today more than ever. To see such a thoughtful idea translated so beautifully from concept to ex*****on was wonderful to witness.

From the curation and flow of the forum to the diversity of voices and the meaningful choice of guests, the entire experience felt purposeful. It wasn’t simply an event; it felt like a celebration of who we are, where we come from, and what we carry forward.

The morning brought a fascinating cultural dialogue, with Professor Baba representing Capoeira from Brazil alongside Padma Shri Dr. Ananda Shankar Jayant representing Bharatnatyam from India, exploring movement, memory, culture and the ways in which two very different traditions Brazil x India can speak to each other.

And then came the evening.

The Crystal Ballroom at The Taj transformed into a little piece of Brazil.

Capoeira. Live music. Batucada drums. Acrobatics. Samba.

A complete download of Brazilian culture brought to life through a spectacular performance that completely electrified the energy in the room.

We have so much more to say, so many more moments to share, and so many people to thank.

But for now, Let the video speak for itself.
