Practicing Aikido in Daily Life:
Aikido is much more than a martial art—it is a way of life. The true practice of Aikido extends beyond the dojo into our everyday actions, teaching us to remain calm under pressure, adapt to challenges, respect others, and seek harmony instead of conflict. Every training session is an opportunity to cultivate patience, humility, discipline, and continuous self-improvement.
The spirit of Aikido is reflected not only in perfect techniques but also in the determination to show up, practice sincerely, and overcome personal obstacles.
In this regard, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Aajay Rao for his remarkable dedication in making time for training despite his busy professional schedule. His commitment demonstrates that priorities are defined by discipline, not by the lack of time.
We also appreciate Sumith Dutta, who continues to train with perseverance despite dealing with multiple injuries. His resilience is a true example of the indomitable spirit that Aikido seeks to develop.
Special recognition goes to Archisa Sachin Lipare a young practitioner who travels a long distance to attend classes. At an age when many children prefer to sleep late on weekends, her enthusiasm and dedication to learning are truly inspiring.
May their commitment motivate all of us to stay consistent on the path of self-improvement. We wish them continued success and many more years of meaningful practice.
Keep training. Keep learning. Keep growing.

Aikido is not confined to the dojo—it is a way of life. The values we learn on the mat stay with us wherever we go, shaping our character, relationships, and journey through life.
Today was an emotional day for our dojo. On one hand, we celebrated a proud milestone as three new black belts stepped onto the mat wearing hakama for the first time, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their Aikido journey.
At the same time, it was the final practice session for Victor De Melo and Eli. This dedicated father-and-son team has been a valued part of our dojo family for many years. Victor has trained in four different countries over more than 13 years and successfully earned his Shodan in Mumbai, demonstrating remarkable commitment and perseverance.
As Victor's tenure in India comes to an end this month, he and Eli will be moving on to their next adventure. While we are saddened to see them leave, we are grateful for the friendship, dedication, and spirit they brought to our dojo.
We wish Victor and Eli every success, happiness, and fulfillment in the future. No matter where life takes them, they will always remain a part of our dojo family.
Safe travels, and we hope our paths cross again soon.

Yesterday marked another historic and proud moment for Aikido Mumbai. A combined general training session of both dojos — Bandra and South Mumbai — was successfully conducted, reflecting the spirit of unity, discipline, and continuous growth.
Following the session, four dedicated senior members — Aajay Rao , Akshay Bhagwat, Sachin Lipare , and Victor De Melo — appeared for their Shodan grading examination. Their performances were outstanding, and we are proud to announce that all four successfully passed.
This achievement is the result of nearly a decade of sincere practice, perseverance, and commitment to the path of Aikido. Their journey is an inspiration for every student to stay focused, disciplined, and never give up on self-improvement.
Congratulations to all of them, and we wish them continued success and growth in their martial arts journey ahead!
