Night feeds are about so much more than feeding the baby.

They are some of the most vulnerable moments of early parenthood — exhaustion, hormones, recovery, interrupted sleep, and a mother trying to care for a newborn while healing herself too.

And while a partner may not be breastfeeding…
he can still be deeply involved.

Bring the baby to her.
Change the diaper.
Refill her water bottle.
Burp and settle the baby after feeds.
Sit beside her when the nights feel long.

These small acts may seem simple, but to a new mother, they can feel like everything.

Because support at 2am matters.
It changes how a mother experiences postpartum.
And often, it’s these quiet moments she remembers most 🤍

Tag a partner who needs this reminder.

Sometimes the most meaningful support after birth is not grand advice or gifts.
It’s practical help. Quiet presence. Being thoughtful without needing to be asked.

A warm meal.
Holding the baby while she showers.
Checking in on her, not only the baby.
Helping without making her explain what she needs.

This is what a village looks like 🤍

And if you are a new mother reading this — needing support does not make you weak. Postpartum was never meant to be done alone.

Save this for someone supporting a new mum right now.

Mothers carry more than we often see.
The love, the exhaustion, the softness, the strength — all at once 🤍

Happy Mother’s Day to the women who keep showing up every single day.

Parenting is not about never having hard days.
It is about what happens after them.

Children will see us frustrated sometimes.
Tired sometimes.
Overwhelmed sometimes.

And that is not always a bad thing.

Because children do not learn emotional regulation from perfect parents.
They learn it from watching real humans move through emotions safely.

They learn when we pause instead of react immediately.
When we say, “I’m feeling overwhelmed.”
When we apologise after shouting.
When we take a breath, drink water, step away for a minute, or come back to reconnect.

That is regulation too 🤍

You are allowed to have difficult days.
What matters most is repair, safety and consistency over time.

And remember — one hard day does not define your parenting.

One of the biggest misconceptions around postpartum is that recovery should happen quickly.

But postpartum healing is layered.

Some parts heal in weeks.
Some in months.
Some emotionally, over years.

And healing can begin at different timelines too.
For some women, recovery starts feeling manageable around 6 weeks.
For others, it may take months… sometimes even 2–3 years to truly feel connected to themselves again.

And while the world focuses on the baby, mothers are often silently navigating physical recovery, hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, emotional overwhelm and a completely new version of themselves.

This is your reminder that healing is not linear.
And you do not need to rush it.

Be gentle with yourself through this phase 🤍

Dads-to-be… this phase may feel new for you too 🤍

You might wonder what to say,
what to do,
or how to really help.

But here’s the truth —
you don’t need to have all the answers 💛

You don’t need to fix everything.

What your partner needs most… is your presence.

To listen without rushing to solve
To sit with her on the harder days
To step in, even in small ways
To remind her she’s not doing this alone

Because pregnancy isn’t just physical…
it’s emotional, mental, and deeply changing.

And the way you show up now —
is what she will remember as support ✨

You don’t have to be perfect.
Just be present 🤍
