On 5th December 2025, the doors of the Temple of Chess open not for theory warriors but for the wanderers, the ones who like their chess a little wild, a little unpredictable, and a lot of fun. We’re kicking off the first ever edition of Funky Friday, a weekly tradition we hope will become the heartbeat of our little chess community. ♟️

This inaugural session features Freestyle Blitz (Chess960): five rounds, played at a 5+3 time control, fast and lively enough to keep you on your toes without rushing the joy out of the game. The opening books stay shut, your instincts do the talking. Expect curious starting positions, spur-of-the-moment ideas, and the kind of games that leave you laughing at your own creativity.🤩

Reporting is at 4:30 pm, with play starting around 5 pm.
The entry fee is Rs. 50, light, friendly, and just enough to keep the stakes playful.🥳

In the spirit of keeping things fun and fair, every rupee collected goes back to the players, divided among the top three finishers.🏆

A quick note: there are only 14 spots, which keeps the atmosphere warm and easygoing.🎉
