Regular practice of Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing) is like training and purification of the nervous system. Also called as Nadi Shuddhi Pranayama, it helps in getting ready for the practice of other Pranayamas.
The inhalation and exhalation is performed through the nostrils alternately.
