A month ago, Shivani Gawli was recovering from surgery. Rest, recovery, and patience became part of her daily routine — but giving up was never an option.

As a dedicated student of Vijay Alva’s Fitness Academy, Shivani held on to one goal with unwavering belief: to stand at the start line of the YODHA event on Saturday, 13th December 2025. The journey back wasn’t easy. It demanded discipline, mental strength, and countless moments where willpower mattered more than physical comfort.

With careful training, relentless determination, and guidance, Shivani pushed past fear, doubt, and limitations. Step by step, she rebuilt her strength — not just in her body, but in her mindset.

Bajaj Pune Marathon wasn’t just about distance — it was about resilience, mental strength, and pushing through discomfort.
With temperatures dropping to 12°C and a course designed to test endurance, this race demanded everything from the runners. Ten flyovers stood between the start line and the finish, each climb draining the legs and challenging the mind.

Shraddha and Mayuresh, both students of Vijay Alva’s Fitness Academy, took on this challenge with discipline and determination shaped through consistent training.
Shraddha powered through the Half Marathon (21 km), tackling every flyover head-on and staying strong through the toughest stretches of the course.
Mayuresh stepped up to the ultimate test — the Full Marathon (42 km) — conquering those same 10 flyovers twice, pushing through fatigue, elevation, and the long hours on the road.

Cold winds, relentless climbs, and tired legs — yet they kept moving forward.
Because when preparation meets perseverance, limits are meant to be broken.

Running the 21 km IndianOil WNC Navy Half Marathon with my team was more than just participating in a race it was the culmination of weeks of discipline, early mornings, heavy legs, long conversations about pacing, and countless training sessions where every one of us pushed past our comfort zones.

As a coach, nothing makes me prouder than watching my athletes show up with heart. We trained hard for this — long-distance runs, interval sessions, strength training, breath work, and mindset conditioning. There were days the body felt tired, days the weather tested us, and days when motivation wasn’t at its peak… but the commitment remained stronger than every excuse.

On race day, seeing my team stand at the start line confident, prepared, and united reminded me why I love what I do. Every kilometre we ran reflected the effort we put in behind the scenes — the sweat, the consistency, the resilience. We didn’t just run 21 km; we ran with purpose, with passion, and with the belief that we could finish stronger than we started.

Grateful for this team, grateful for the journey, and grateful for moments like these that remind us that limits exist only until we decide to break them. Here’s to many more finish lines together. 🏅🏃‍♂️🔥
