Sanskrit name for low lunge, ‘Anjaneyasana’ refers to ‘Anjaneya’ - Son of Anjani i.e Lord Hanuman who was endowed with strength, power & valor. The asana resembles his depiction in the epics, with an arched back and reaching towards the sky.

Anjaneyasana gives a deep stretch to groin, quadriceps & illiopsoas, there by strengthening them. It is a perfect combination of stretch, backbend & balance thus bringing in a strong sense of union in the lives of practitioners. It opens the hip & instils a feeling of all-embracing goodness.

Do check the video for demonstration.
