No matter if you are young or in your golden years, if you are visually impaired or not, chess brings everyone together. It is a universal language that enables us to spend quality time.

This photo was taken yesterday at the 2nd International Chess Tournament for the Blind, organized by the Chess Association for the Blind in collaboration with the Monegasque Chess Federation, and held at the Louis II stadium from October 28t to November 1.

There is a pedagogical purpose to this encounter, since the tournament involves not only visually impaired players but also children rated under 1300, with Fiorina Berezovsky, the "Peace and Sport" representative for Monaco, being the only exception.
