Eight limbs of Yoga as described by Patanjali Maharishi are as follows:

1. YAMA
2. NIYAMA
3. ASANA
4. PRANAYAMAS
5. PRATYAHARA
6. DHARNA
7. DHYANA
8. SAMADHI

🧘‍♀️Tapas, is part of 2nd limb of yoga, I.e. NIYAMA

Tapas refers to the practices and disciplines leading to acquiring radiance of body and clarity of mind.

🧘‍♀️ Swadhyay I.e. study of self
• sva: self
• adhyāya: study
Together, svādhyāya means study of the self

🧘‍♀️ Ishwarpranidhana: īśvarapraṇidhāna =
• īśvara: guiding or protecting force
• praṇidhāna: complete surrender

Together, īśvarapraṇidhāna refers to having complete faith in the guiding and protecting power of the Absolute Reality.
