"Your breath can turn down your pain—if you use it right.”
When you’re in pain, your breathing usually becomes fast, shallow, and tense. This keeps your body in a stress mode, which actually makes pain feel stronger.
Deep breathing helps reverse this by activating your body’s natural relaxation system, which calms the nervous system and reduces the “alarm signal” coming from the brain. This improves how your body processes pain and can make discomfort feel more manageable.
Breathing deeply also reduces muscle tension, improves oxygen flow, and signals your brain that you are safe, not under threat. When the brain feels safe, it naturally lowers pain intensity.
This is strongly linked to the way the brain regulates pain through systems like the Autonomic Nervous System, which controls how alert or relaxed your body feels.
As Dr. Vineeta Ail, founder and chief physiotherapist at V HEAL Physiotherapy and fitness center, I often teach patients that breathing is not just relaxation—it’s a pain modulation tool. Simple slow breathing exercises can be a powerful part of pain management alongside movement and rehab.
👉 Breathe better, feel better, move better.

“Less sleep = more pain. Even one bad night can lower your pain tolerance."
If you’ve ever felt more body aches after a poor night’s sleep, there’s a real reason for it. Lack of sleep can reduce your pain tolerance by up to 25%, making even small discomforts feel much worse.
When you don’t sleep well, your brain’s natural pain-control system doesn’t work properly. Areas involved in pain processing—like the Anterior Cingulate Cortex—become more sensitive, while the body’s ability to “block” pain signals reduces.
Sleep deprivation also increases stress hormones, slows down recovery, and keeps your body in a more irritable, inflamed state-all of which amplify pain.
As Dr. Vineeta Ail, founder and chief physiotherapist at V HEAL Physiotherapy and fitness center, I often remind patients: if you’re trying to reduce pain, sleep is not optional—it’s an essential treatment.
👉 Better sleep = better healing, better movement, and less pain.

True story..!
Pain isn’t always where the problem truly lies.
As a physiotherapist, one of the most important things I help my patients understand is this: the body works as a connected system, not isolated parts. That nagging shoulder pain you’ve been dealing with? It may not actually be a shoulder issue at all. The root cause could be coming from your neck, posture, or even the way your spine is functioning.
I often see patients who focus only on the site of pain, applying balms, doing random exercises, or even resting excessively—without addressing the real source. This is why the pain keeps coming back.
For example, poor neck posture (especially from long hours on phones or laptops) can lead to nerve irritation or muscle imbalance, which then shows up as shoulder pain. Treating only the shoulder might give temporary relief, but unless we correct the neck mechanics and posture, the problem persists.
Pain is your body’s signal—but it doesn’t always tell you the exact location of the problem.
At V HEAL Physiotherapy and Fitness Center, my approach is to assess the body holistically, identify the root cause, and treat it with precision. Because lasting relief doesn’t come from chasing pain—it comes from understanding it.

✨ Postpartum back pain can last for years if not treated on time.✨
Many mothers believe back pain after delivery is “normal” and will settle on its own — but for many, it doesn’t.
After pregnancy:
• Hormonal changes increase joint and ligament laxity
• Core muscles become weak and poorly coordinated
• Repeated bending, feeding, and lifting the baby with poor posture overloads the spine
Together, these factors place constant stress on the lower back, leading to persistent pain if left unaddressed.
🧠 Postpartum back pain is not just about rest — it’s about recovery.
Targeted physiotherapy helps:
✔️ Rebuild core strength
✔️ Correct posture and lifting mechanics
✔️ Stabilize the spine
✔️ Prevent long-term pain
As Dr. Vineeta, Founder of V Heal Physiotherapy & Fitness Center, I help mothers treat the root cause — not just the symptoms.
🌸 Early care makes all the difference.

✨C-section is NOT the easy way out.✨
A cesarean delivery is a major abdominal surgery, not a shortcut.
After a C-section, scar tissue can become tight and restricted. This tightness doesn’t just stay at the skin level — it can affect how the entire body functions.
Scar tightness can lead to:
• Restricted diaphragmatic breathing
• Altered posture
• Poor core activation
• Pelvic floor dysfunction
🌿 Scars need care, not neglect.
With guided physiotherapy, scar mobility can improve, breathing patterns can normalize, and core–pelvic floor coordination can be restored.
As Dr. Vineeta, Founder of V Heal Physiotherapy & Fitness Center, I help C-section moms recover beyond the surface — addressing the scar, movement, and function together.
🌸 Healing after a C-section is real, layered, and deserves proper support.

After pregnancy, a woman’s body goes through massive changes — not just visible ones, but deep internal ones that are often ignored. One of the most important (and most forgotten) changes is how you breathe.
WHY breathing changes after pregnancy
During pregnancy:
• The growing uterus pushes the diaphragm upward
• Rib cage expands and posture shifts
• Core muscles (especially the deep abdominal muscles) become overstretched and weak
• Pelvic floor muscles undergo extreme stress
To adapt, the body starts relying on chest breathing instead of natural diaphragmatic breathing.
After delivery, the body does not automatically reset.
So many moms continue to:
• Breathe shallowly
• Overuse neck and shoulder muscles
• Disconnect from their core and pelvic floor
This can lead to:
⚠️ Back pain
⚠️ Neck & shoulder tension
⚠️ Weak core
⚠️ Pelvic floor dysfunction
⚠️ Poor posture
⚠️ Fatigue and anxiety
And yet… no one talks about breathing retraining in postpartum care.
🌿 HOW breathing can be corrected
Breathing is not “just breathing.”
It is the foundation of core strength, pelvic floor health, posture, and recovery.
With proper physiotherapy-guided breathing:
✔️ The diaphragm learns to move correctly again
✔️ Core muscles activate naturally
✔️ Pelvic floor regains coordination
✔️ Pressure inside the abdomen normalizes
✔️ Pain reduces and energy improves
Postpartum breathing retraining is:
• Gentle
• Safe
• Deeply healing
• Essential before strengthening exercises
🌸 A message to all mothers
