Somewhere around the 3rd or 4th week of Prayatna… we begin exploring Vrishchikasana.
And almost every time, the first response is —
“this feels scary.”
But what I’ve seen over the years is…
it’s rarely about strength.
It’s about understanding.
This video is from an offline session in Pune…
and the student you see here is one of the oldest members of the Prayatna journey ❤️
Watching this today feels special…
because life has moved, seasons have changed…
and Sharvani has now stepped into a beautiful new phase of motherhood.
And knowing her, I can only imagine how gracefully she’s embracing it ✨
There’s something about revisiting these moments…
seeing how the body moved, how the mind responded…
and realising that yoga was never just about the posture.
It was always about the journey we are on within ourselves.
And that’s exactly what Prayatna holds space for.
Not just learning a pose…
but evolving your relationship with the practice.
If you’ve been feeling stuck…
or like your practice needs more depth, clarity, and guidance…
maybe it’s time to step into a space where you’re supported through that journey.
We begin our next batch soon, with a small, committed group.
If this speaks to you… reach out ❤️

We often look for deeper practice
while living in conditions that constantly fragment us.
Too much input.
Too little silence.
Irregular rhythms.
No real pause.
And then we wonder why practice feels stuck.
The answer is not always more techniques.
Sometimes the system itself needs
space, clarity, and regulation.
This is where practices like
Shatkarma and Dinacharya begin to make sense.
Not as trends.
Not as intensity.
And certainly not as performance.
But as ways of creating the right internal conditions
for Yoga to go deeper.
That is one of the deeper intentions behind Praśuddhi.
If this resonates,
message me directly and I’ll share the details personally.

Not every practice is meant for a studio.
Some require space.
Silence.
And a certain readiness.
Praśuddhi is a small, guided immersion for those who feel ready to step away from routine and spend a few days in deeper practice, good company, and honest conversation.
There will be Asana.
There will be philosophy.
There will also be life —
shared with like-minded people,
in a space that allows you to slow down.
This immersion will include:
• Asana & breath-led practice
• Shatkarma & internal cleansing practices
• Dinacharya & self-abhyanga
• Theory, reflection & integration
• Satsang, sunsets, and unhurried conversations
And yes — we’ll also keep space for the softer parts of the journey: carpooling together, travelling slowly, catching sunsets, stepping out a little, and simply spending time with people who value this path.

PRAYATNA SAITHILYA 🌿
Our longest-running and most loved practice space completes 3 years this October.
What started as a small group of dedicated practitioners has now evolved into a close-knit community working towards refining alignment, deepening awareness, and exploring themed sessions that go beyond just asana.
These are small-group classes, intentionally designed to give you personalised attention, feedback, and corrections — much like a 1-on-1 session, yet within the energy of a shared practice space. Every student’s journey is observed, guided, and nurtured.
With every batch, Prayatna continues to evolve — new sequences, deeper explorations, and a more mindful way of moving, breathing, and being.
If you’ve been wanting to experience the Pranava method of teaching and sequencing, this is the perfect place to start.
An intermediate-level practice suitable for both yoga teachers and sincere practitioners looking to grow.

Over the years, many people have reached out to me saying:
“I’ve tried yoga before… but my health issue is still there.”
And the truth is — when you’re dealing with things like back pain, PCOS, thyroid concerns, diabetes, high BP or chronic stress, the body often needs more than a generic yoga class.
It needs a more personal and therapeutic approach.
This is why I work with a small number of people through the Pranava Personalized Yoga Therapy & Nutrition Program, where we work one-on-one to understand the body and support healing through:
• Therapeutic yoga practices
• Breath regulation (Pranayama)
• Lifestyle refinement through Ayurveda
• Nutrition guidance where required
Each plan is designed around the individual body, lifestyle, and health context, and evolves as the body responds.
From time to time, a few spaces open up in my schedule, and I’m sharing this here for those who have been meaning to reach out.
If you feel your body may benefit from more personalized guidance, you’re welcome to send me a message to book an Initial Holistic Health Assessment.
We can take it from there.

FOUNDATIONS OF ALIGNMENT
Reframing Safety in Asana
Many yoga practitioners stretch deeper with time — yet begin experiencing discomfort in the hips, knees, shoulders, or lower back.
Often the issue isn’t flexibility.
It’s a misunderstanding of how the body handles load in yoga poses.
In modern yoga practice, alignment is often reduced to how a posture looks. But true alignment is about how the body distributes effort, protects joints, and sustains movement safely over time.
In this workshop we will explore alignment beyond aesthetics and understand how to build a safe, intelligent, and sustainable asana practice.
In this workshop you will learn:
• Understanding load & joint integrity in asana
• Why stability must come before mobility
• How flexibility without stability can lead to strain
• Recognising unsafe movement patterns in practice
We will explore common postures like Tadasana, Trikonasana, Virabhadrasana II and forward bends to understand how the body actually distributes effort.
This session is designed for:
• Serious yoga practitioners
• Yoga teachers
• Anyone seeking deeper clarity in their practice

Long hours at a desk slowly change how the body feels.
Tight hips.
A stiff upper back.
Neck tension that never really goes away.
Shallow breathing from constant stress.
Over time, the spine carries more load than it should, and the nervous system remains in a constant state of alert.
Stress, Spine & Strength is a therapeutic yoga workshop designed to help reset these patterns safely.
In this 3-hour guided session, we will explore:
• Gentle spinal decompression
• Strength without strain
• Nervous system down-regulation
• Breath practices for stress relief
• Simple tools to support your body during work
This workshop is the first in our Therapeutic Yoga Workshop Series, where each session will explore a specific aspect of movement, pain, and recovery through yoga.
Ideal for IT professionals, desk workers, and anyone experiencing recurring back or neck discomfort.
No prior yoga experience required.

For many practitioners, yoga becomes a routine of repeating poses.
But very rarely do we pause to ask:
How safe is the way we are practicing?
Over time, small misalignments can quietly accumulate as:
• shoulder discomfort
• lower back strain
• tight hips and knees
• neck compression
The Asana Alignment Clinic Series is designed to slow things down and explore the intelligence of asana.
Not just how poses look.
But how the body supports, distributes, and manages load within them.
These clinics will be conducted as small-group deep dive workshops, focusing on alignment principles that make practice sustainable for years to come.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be launching these Alignment Clinics across different regions of Bangalore.
If you are someone who values safe, intelligent, long-term practice, this series might be for you.
Workshop details coming soon.

Yoga is often approached as an exercise.
But in many situations, what the body needs is therapy, not intensity.
Modern lifestyles are creating patterns of:
• spinal compression
• shoulder and neck tension
• chronic fatigue
• nervous system overload
The Therapeutic Yoga Series explores how yoga can be practiced in a way that supports recovery, stability, and long-term well-being.
These workshops will be conducted as small-group sessions designed to bring clarity and relief through intelligent practice.
Over the coming weeks, I will be announcing the first set of Therapeutic Yoga Workshops across Bangalore.
Stay tuned.

Many people come to yoga through āsana.
Some stay there.
At Pranava Yogashala, we treat āsana and prāṇāyāma as they were always meant to be —
a preparation.
Preparation of the body.
Preparation of attention.
Preparation of the nervous system.
In our Online Sharira Sādhana, we begin by working carefully with joints, breath, alignment, and effort — not to perfect poses, but to make the body steady and receptive. From there, the practice naturally opens into prāṇāyāma, restorative work, and the early stages of pratyāhāra.
This is why our sessions are taught in small groups, and why the practice unfolds in two stages:
Pravesha — to orient and prepare the body
Prayatna — to refine, sustain, and deepen practice
When the body is prepared, the inner limbs are no longer distant ideas.
They become accessible through practice.
If you are looking for an online space where yoga is taught as sādhanā —
and not just movement —
we’d be glad to practice with you.

Pratyusha — Second Cycle Announcement
Ritu Sandhi Sankalpa Sādhana
Over the last Ritu Sandhi, a small group of committed practitioners completed the first cycle of Pratyusha — a 14-day inner Sādhana rooted in Prāṇāyāma, Pratyāhāra, Dhāraṇā, Dhyāna, and Sankalpa, aligned consciously with the seasonal transition.
Pratyusha is not a program built around āsana.
It is a disciplined inward journey, designed for those who feel ready to move beyond movement and technique, and explore Yoga in its subtler, traditional dimensions.
The second cycle of Pratyusha will be offered during the next Ritu Sandhi, traditionally considered an auspicious window for deeper Yogic work.
What defines Pratyusha:
• Daily early-morning practice (Brahma Muhurta)
• A clear inner progression from prāṇa → senses → attention → stillness
• Practices drawn from classical Yogic frameworks, not modern improvisation
• Sankalpa approached as direction of being, not goal or affirmation
• Silence, continuity, and sincerity as non-negotiables
This Sādhana is for:
• Serious practitioners and yoga teachers
• Those who feel a plateau at the level of āsana or basic prāṇāyāma
• Those drawn to inner limbs of Yoga but seeking clarity and structure
This is not for:
• Casual or drop-in practice
• Those seeking quick results or constant stimulation
• Anyone unwilling to sit with silence and discipline
Dm for Details regarding registration.
Those who feel genuinely called are welcome to reach out for clarity before enrolling.
Pratyusha is not something to rush into.
If it resonates, it will return to you at the right time.
